President Trump said the quiet part out loud: when asked whether the economic hardship Americans are feeling would motivate him to end his war in Iran, he responded, “I don’t think about Americans’ financial situation.”

As gas prices skyrocket and our U.S. servicemembers continue to face greater risk for no good reason and with no end in sight, House Republicans again voted to block a War Powers Resolution to bring our troops home and end President Trump’s war in Iran. For the third time, I voted yes.

For millions of Americans, especially younger generations, the dream of owning a home has grown further and further out of reach as costs skyrocket and available housing options dwindle.
The bipartisan 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act aims to change that. I voted YES to make affordable housing more of a reality and prevent young families from being priced out of their communities.
Bipartisan home affordability bill passes the House
The bill is meant to encourage home construction, and would ban corporate investors from buying up more homes to rent out.
