The Office of Planning has been writing a new comprehensive plan for land use in the District, and District Department of Transportation will soon begin an update of moveDC, the District’s long-term transportation plan. Rebecca and Kim sat down to talk about their respective views into transportation planning and took us waaaaay back to the earliest days of DC’s transportation system. We have a long legacy of planning around transit in the District and many of our most walkable neighborhoods exist because of it.

Get involved in the comp plan rewrite at DC2050.com and stay tuned for more to come from DDOT on moveDC!

In our work to develop DC 2050 - the District's next comprehensive plan - we've had many conversations with residents across the city through focus groups. Our team is reviewing the feedback we've received through smaller group conversations, as well as through other channels, like the virtual workshop: https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/61f6684068064cd79a66995f26957e7e

Thank you to our partner organizations for helping us reach these communities!
