‼️West Columbia Police Department Alert Siren System‼️
The most commonly used siren is the FIRE siren. This siren sounds when a fire is called in.
The other two sirens are SHELTER IN PLACE and ALL CLEAR. These two work side by side. These are typically weather related signals that advise residents during emergency weather events.
The police department does weekly testing of these sirens at noon every Saturday. This testing helps familiarize residents with the sound and meaning of each siren.
Please follow the police department page for the siren testing schedule and updates.
