🎃🐾 BOO! Happy Howl-O-Ween from ESD K9 Spike! 👻🐕‍🦺🚔

Hey, everyone! It’s your favorite four-legged crime fighter, ESD K9 Spike! I’m taking a break from sniffing out electronic devices to share a few Halloween safety tips! 🎃🍬

🚨 Officer Spike’s Halloween Safety Tips: 🚨

🎃 Be Seen! Wear bright costumes and carry a flashlight or glow stick!

👻 Stay Together! Trick-or-treat with a responsible adult and never wander off alone!

🍬 Check Your Candy! Have an adult inspect your treats before eating!

🚗 Watch for Traffic! Use crosswalks, look both ways, and drivers, PLEASE slow down!

🏠 Stay Safe! Visit well-lit homes and never enter a stranger’s house or vehicle!

🐾 Protect Your Pets! Keep candy and chocolate away from us four-legged friends! My dad says I have to watch my figure anyway! 😂🐶

🧡 Remember, Halloween should be full of treats, not dangerous tricks!

From this old police dog who’s still got plenty of sniffing left to do, stay safe, have fun, and look out for one another!

My human partner and I, alongside the PSP NE Computer Crime Task Force, PA ICAC Task Force, and Duryea Police Department, led the investigation that resulted in Joseph Dowd’s third conviction involving child s*xual abuse materials.

A lifetime-registered s*x offender and designated s*xually violent predator, Dowd was sentenced Thursday by Luzerne County Judge Joseph F. Sklarosky to 25–50 years in state prison. Investigators found child s*xual abuse materials on his phone while he was on parole, along with other disturbing evidence. His prior convictions included secretly recording women in a restroom and possessing and sharing such materials.

The court recognized that possessing these materials is a violent act because children are harmed in their creation and distribution. Dowd must also serve three years of probation after release and comply with lifetime registration and enhanced reporting requirements, including quarterly state police reporting and registration of his residence, vehicles, and employment.

My human and I are proud to have served as lead investigators alongside these dedicated agencies in protecting children and holding Dowd accountable. 🐾💙. Our Rescue Jordan Detection K9 - Electronic Detection K9 PA ICAC Task Force

🐾🎂❤️ Happy 10th Birthday to me! ❤️🐾🎉

I can’t believe I’m 10 today! I honestly don’t know where the time has gone, but I’m so grateful for every adventure, every memory, and every moment I’ve shared with my favorite human.

I’ve stood by my human’s side through the best days and helped carry him through some of the darkest. I’ve given unconditional love, loyalty, comfort, and strength whenever it was needed most. Many people know me for the lives I’ve helped save throughout my career, but what they may not know is that I saved my human’s life, too. ❤️

Together, we’ve traveled thousands of miles, worked countless investigations, helped protect children, and experienced more adventures than either of us could have imagined. But beyond the badge, the deployments, and everything I’ve accomplished, I’m simply my human’s boy, shadow, and best friend.

As I turn 10, I wish I could slow down time. I know our years together will never be long enough, but I promise to keep making every moment count and enjoying the happiest life possible.

Happy Birthday to me! Thank you for loving me, believing in me, and giving me far more than I could ever give in return. I’m proud to be your partner, and I love you more than words could ever express.

I may be a hero to many, but you’ll always be my hero, too. 🐾💙

Here’s to more adventures, more memories and many more birthdays together! 🎂🐕❤️ Our Rescue Jordan Detection K9 - Electronic Detection K9

🐾💙 A huge shoutout and heartfelt congratulations to Detective Dillinger and my four-legged colleague, ESD K9 Dottie, on a successful search warrant that uncovered critical evidence missed during the initial search!

This is exactly why we train, why we do what we do, and why ESD K9s are such an invaluable resource to law enforcement. Sometimes, the smallest piece of evidence can make the biggest difference in an investigation.

I couldn’t be prouder of this incredible team and their dedication to protecting those who cannot protect themselves.

Keep up the outstanding work! Stay safe and healthy! 🐾💙

🐾💙 What an exciting week!

Dad and I started in Hershey, PA, before heading to Virginia for a future ESD K9 team site visit.

The highlight? Visiting TikTok’s headquarters! 🐾 I got to show off my nose and ESD K9 skills for their Executive Leadership Team!

Not every day a dog gets invited to TikTok! 🐕‍🦺💙

Just another week of sniffing out hidden electronics and helping protect children!

Let me introduce my fellow four-legged OUR Rescue ESD K9 partners from Northeastern Pennsylvania! 🐾💙

It’s always a great time when we get together! We may each have our own handler and territory, but we’re all part of the same team with the same mission, helping protect children and bringing those who exploit them to justice.
