🌳 We’re growing a greener Casey 🌳

ICYMI: Our Mayor recently caught up with Trent from our tree planting team in Berwick, where hundreds of new trees are helping boost our tree canopy and keeping our neighbourhoods cooler and more liveable.

Every planting is carefully planned, using proactive mapping and data to identify areas that need more shade and greenery, alongside requests from our community.

It’s all part of our long-term commitment to grow tree canopy across Casey, along with advocating for the creation of green streets and trees in new residential developments.

🤩We recently celebrated our community services volunteers at the Volunteer Recognition Event held at Bunjil Place, as part of National Volunteer Week.

🥰This year’s theme, “Your Year to Volunteer,” was brought to life as we recognised the dedication, compassion and impact of volunteers who support our community every day.

A special congratulations to our 2026 milestone recipients...
• 10 years: David Talbot & Lorraine Macredie
• 15 years: Janette Pike
• 40 years: Diana Heath
• 45 years: Margaret Sansom

🤩These milestones reflect decades of generosity, care and community spirit, a truly remarkable achievement.

🥰One of the highlights of the evening was hearing directly from our volunteers. Through a panel conversation, Margaret Sansom and Dennis Bartley shared what volunteering means to them.

🤩Across our programs, from delivered meals and transport to social outings, our volunteers help older residents stay connected, independent and supported in their community.

🥰To all our volunteers: we say thank you. Your time, kindness and commitment make a real difference in our community every single day.

Can people find your place easily?📍👀

Visible property numbers aren’t just convenient – they’re part of Casey’s Community Local Law.

A clear, easy‑to‑spot number helps emergency services, deliveries and visitors find the right address quickly and safely. Make sure your property number is:

- Easy to see from the street
- Near the main entrance
- Clean and in good condition
