She is the 2026 Westfield Booragoon Local Hero in recognition of her volunteering.

BEACH CLOSURE: Due to an algal bloom, Ngarkal Beach in North Coogee is closed until further notice.

Algal blooms can cause ill effects to humans and animals and direct water contact activities including fishing, drinking, boating and swimming, are not recommended for health reasons.

This month, Mayor Logan Howlett joined David Scaife MLA to officially open Yangebup Lakes Little Athletics Club's new long jump runway and throwing circle at Nicholson Reserve, giving local athletes even more opportunities to train, compete and achieve their personal bests.

This project is part of the WA Government's PlayOn WA, an exciting initiative to deliver 2,030 community infrastructure items across WA by 2030.

A heads up for local parents.

The Bibra Lake Regional Playground will be temporarily closed on Wednesday 28 October and Thursday 29 October for maintenance works.

Crews will be topping up the mulch and sand to help keep the playground safe, comfortable and enjoyable for everyone.

We apologise for any inconvenience and look forward to welcoming visitors back once the works are complete.
