Don’t make this Halloween a horror show for our Waste and Recycling team 🎃

Keep your recycling loose and leave v**e batteries and nitrous oxide canisters out of the bin (or the team will haunt you).

Making waves for a swimmable Birrarung 🏊

This week, we joined Melbourne Water, Yarra City Council, Moonee Valley City Council and Banyule City Council to launch the Coalition for a Swimmable Birrarung.

From improving water quality to reconnecting people with the river, the Coalition is working towards a future where taking a dip in the Birrarung is part of Melbourne life once again.

Backed by the global Swimmable Cities movement and hundreds of organisations around the world, the current is flowing in the right direction towards a cleaner, healthier and more connected Birrarung 🌊

Melbourne’s most-emailed tree needs your vote 🌳 📧

For almost 90 years, the Golden Elm on Punt Road has kept Melburnians company on their daily commute.

Since our email-a-tree project began, we’ve received more than 10,000 messages from around the world – and the Golden Elm has received more than any other.

With Melbourne Fringe wrapping up this weekend, see if you can spot signs of the building's early days while you're visiting for a show.
