🥇🏆ACCS OLIMPIJSKE IGRE – DAN PUN SMIJEHA, ZABAVE I VESELJA!
Tko kaže da su Olimpijske igre samo za mlade? Naši su članovi grupa još jednom dokazali da godine nisu prepreka za dobru zabavu i sportski duh! Natjecali smo se u tri discipline – košarci, golfu i bacanju loptica u cilj. ⛹️‍♂️⛳️🎯Bilo je tu preciznih pogodaka, malo promašaja, puno navijanja, smijeha i prijateljskog nadmetanja! Imali smo devet osvajača medalja, ali za nas su svi bili pobjednici! Svaki sudionik dobio je mali znak pažnje kao zahvalu za sudjelovanje i trud. 🏌️Nakon sportskih uzbuđenja zasluženo smo se počastili zajedničkim ručkom, a uz veliku tortu proslavili smo završetak naših Olimpijskih igara i rođendane naših listopadskih slavljenika!🎂🥳 Na kraju dana nisu najvažnije bile medalje, već osmijesi, druženje i lijepe uspomene koje smo zajedno stvorili. Bravo za sve naše olimpijce! Jedva čekamo sljedeće igre! ❤️❤️

🥇🏆ACCS OLYMPICS – WHAT A FUN DAY!
Who says the Olympics are only for the young? Our wonderful participants proved once again that age is no barrier to having fun and enjoying a little friendly competition! We competed in three events – basketball, golf and bean bag toss.⛹️‍♂️🏌️🎯 There were some impressive shots, a few funny misses, plenty of cheering, laughter and great sportsmanship! We celebrated nine medal winners, but in our eyes, everyone was a winner! Every participant received a little gift to thank them for taking part and giving it a go. After all the excitement, we enjoyed a well-deserved lunch together, followed by a big cake to celebrate the closing of our ACCS Olympics and our October birthdays!🥳🎂 At the end of the day, it wasn’t really about the medals. It was about being active, having a laugh, enjoying each other’s company and making wonderful memories. A big congratulations to all our amazing Olympians! We can’t wait to do it all again! ❤️❤️

This week, the North Group Social Support began a festive Christmas craft activity, creating beautiful frosted glass candle holders. Participants used papier-mâché techniques to decorate the glass, choosing either a textured snowy effect or a smooth frosted finish. They then added festive touches such as ribbons, Christmas trees and snowflakes. A battery-operated candle was placed inside, creating a warm, glowing decoration perfect for brightening any mantelpiece during the Christmas season.

Ovog tjedna sudionici programa društvene potpore na sjeveru započeli su blagdansko razdoblje izradom prekrasnih staklenih svijećnjaka s efektom zamrznutog stakla!

Koristeći tehniku kaširanja papirom, sudionici su ukrašavali staklene posude stvarajući ili teksturirani efekt snijega ili glatku, matiranu površinu. Zatim su dodali vlastite blagdanske ukrase, poput vrpci, božićnih drvaca i pahuljica, čime je svaki svijećnjak postao jedinstven.

Za kraj je u svaki svijećnjak postavljena svijeća na baterije koja je stvorila toplu, nježnu svjetlost. Ovi prekrasni ručno izrađeni ukrasi savršeni su za uljepšavanje svakog kamina ili police te za unošenje dodatne božićne čarolije u dom.

Kakav divan način za poticanje kreativnosti, dijeljenje blagdanskog veselja i zajedničko uživanje u božićnom razdoblju! 🎅✨

The launch of the Croatian version of the booklet “Being prepared as a family decision maker” took place yesterday at the Jan Wilson Community Centre in Noble Park. The booklet was published by Palliative Care Victoria (PCV) in collaboration with ACCS. It aims to help individuals and families feel better informed and more confident when making decisions regarding the care of a loved one, particularly when facing a serious illness or requiring palliative care. The goal of ACCS and PCV cooperation is to improve access to this valuable information for members of the Croatian community in Victoria.
The individuals featured in the Croatian version of the booklet are members of our social support group, ensuring that this publication, in both its appearance and spirit, truly belongs to the Croatian community. The translation of the booklet into Croatian is part of the wider “Dignified and Respectful Decisions” project, under which the booklet has now been translated and published in 17 different languages, Croatian being the latest addition, as of yesterday.

Jučer je u društvenom centru Jan Wilson u Noble Parku održana promocija hrvatske verzije knjižice,,Budite spremni za ulogu donositelja odluka u obitelji” koju je objavila Palijativna Skrb Viktorije u suradnji sa ACCS-om. Knjižica ima za cilj pomoći pojedincima i obiteljima da se osjećaju informiranije i sigurnije pri donošenju odluka o skrbi za voljenu osobu, posebno kada se suočavaju s teškom bolešću ili palijativnom skrbi a cilj ove suradnje je poboljšati pristup vrijednim informacijama članovima hrvatske zajednice u Viktoriji. Fotografije osoba koje se nalaze u hrvatskoj verziji knjižice su fotografije članova naše grupe društvene potpore tako da knjižica svojim izgledom i duhom usitinu pripada hrvatskoj zajednici.
Prijevod knjižice na hrvatski jezik dio je šireg projekta zvanog ,,Dostojanstvene i poštovanja vrijedne odluke” u sklopu kojeg je ova knjižica do sada objavljena na 17 različitih jezika, uključujući od jučer i hrvatski jezik.
