Josefina Molina 1936-2026🎬

Film director, screenwriter, television & theatre director, she was also celebrated for her contributions to women’s rights.

A pioneer in the Spanish film industry, she was the first woman to graduate as a film director from the Official School of Cinematography 🎬

Nominated to six Goya Awards, it is the concluding episode of Simón’s semi-autobiographical trilogy.

Shot by Hélène Louvart in nostalgic, grainy sun-soaked cinematography, Romería encapsulates the rebelliousness of adolescence, whilst exploring a rarely portrayed theme in Spanish history - the consequences of the youth revolution that followed the period of transition to democracy in Spain.
