During the warmer weather, please remember to:

๐Ÿ’ง Be prepared for hot weather with sun cream, a hat and keep hydrated.
๐Ÿ”† Try to keep sun exposure to a minimum, particularly between 11am and 3pm.
๐Ÿง“ Check in on elderly or vulnerable neighbours.
๐Ÿ‘ถ Ensure young children and pets are supervised at all times around open windows.
๐Ÿ˜“ Look out for signs of feeling unwell and move to a cool place as soon as possible, slow down and drink water if you feel unwell. If you need medical help, call NHS 111 or 999 in an emergency.

The council joined the St Mungo's outreach team this week to support people sleeping rough in Westminster during this heatwave โ˜€๏ธ ๐ŸŒก๏ธ

Weโ€™re on the streets delivering life-saving essentials: water, suncream, vital welfare checks, and guiding people to cool spaces ๐Ÿšฐ ๐Ÿงด

This weather can be just as dangerous as the freezing cold. You can help us protect people from the extreme heat.

๐Ÿ“ฑ Spotted someone sleeping rough? Alert Street Link so local teams can find and support them.
๐Ÿšจ If someone looks seriously unwell, distressed, or in immediate danger, skip the app and call 999.

Westminster City Council Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Enforcement Caroline Sargent said:

โ€œIโ€™m deeply saddened by the news that a young man has been killed on the streets of our city. Our thoughts are with the victimโ€™s family.
"The council appreciates the grief and worry our community will be feeling and weโ€™ll do all we can, working alongside the police, to support local residents.
"It would be inappropriate to comment further during an ongoing police investigation.โ€
