The Minister of State, Minister for Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr Ahmed Attaf, took part today in Seoul in the ministerial meeting of the Africa-Republic of Korea Partnership.
The meeting aims to assess progress made in implementing the outcomes of the first Africa-Korea Summit, held in June 2024, as well as to explore ways to further develop this partnership in support of the development goals enshrined in the Africa 2063 Agenda.

Under the directive of the President of the Republic, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr Ahmed Attaf, has travelled to Seoul, the capital of the Republic of Korea, to take part in the ministerial meeting of the Africa-Korea Partnership, scheduled to take place on 1 and 2 June.

With the participation of African foreign ministers alongside their counterpart from the Republic of Korea, this meeting will be devoted to assessing the progress made in implementing the outcomes and results of the first Africa-Korea Summit, held in June 2024, as well as exploring prospects for developing this partnership and preparing for future related events.

Algeria’s participation in this event forms part of its commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership it shares bilaterally with the friendly Republic of Korea, and reflects its determination to support efforts aimed at steering the Africa-Korea partnership towards serving the development goals enshrined in the African Union’s Agenda 2063.

The Minister of State, Minister for Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr Ahmed Attaf, presided at the Ministry’s headquarters over the celebrations marking # Africa Day, which coincides with the 63rd anniversary of the founding of the Organisation of African Unity and falls on 25 May, under the slogan: {2026 Year of Water Sustainability: Ensuring sustainable access to water and safe sanitation systems to achieve the goals of Agenda 2063}.
The ceremony was attended by the Speaker of the Pan-African Parliament, advisers to the President of the Republic, a number of government ministers, the Secretaries of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Secretary-General of the Ministry, as well as the heads of various national bodies and institutions, alongside members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Algeria.
