Work started today on the long awaited replacement wooden fence along Park Lane. It will be completed by close of play on Wednesday. Apologies for any inconvenience caused due to the traffic management. It will be worth it!

Friday 3rd October between 08:00-16:00 hrs to lower end of Prince's Incline will be closed to allow for surface improvement works to take place. Area closed marked in red. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Replacement of wooden fences Update : MIddlewood Road complete. Waiting for Cheshire East to approve Traffic Management for the Park Lane section.
Great job so far ! Leigh Fencing Contractors Poynton - Matt Leigh Anticipate job will be completed by the end of August.

21/10/25 Update: CE have agreed necessary Traffic Management measures as work on Park Lane section are undertaken.

Works will start Monday 27th October; and will last for 3 to 4 days 👍😁

After lengthy but unsuccessful discussions with Cheshire East, Poynton Town Council have agreed to access funds from the Community Infrastructure levy (CIL) to replace the broken/missing wooden fence that runs along along Park Lane and Middlewood Road.

Works will begin w/c 4th August by local contractor Leigh Fencing Contractors Poynton - Matt Leigh. Making Progress👍

Out on School Lane this morning. After prepping the planters, we teamed up with volunteers from volunteers to plant some lovely perennial plants provided by Poynton Town Council. Our Mayor, Peter Oakes also lent a hand. They look miles better, well done everyone.

We have prepared a strip of land within Brecon Play Park and sowed a wildflower seed mix. Hope park users enjoy it as much as our pollinators! 🐝

Friday 27th June 2025 Lady's Incline - Temp Closure

The below marked section of Lady's incline will closed form 08:45 am to 2:30 pm. This is to allow for necessary tree safety work by Swift Tree and Arboricultural Services Apologies for any inconvenience.

Your Poynton Town Council manage 12 defibrillators. They are checked weekly by the CCST team ensuring they are 100% ready when needed. All our defibrillators or AEDs are on the national register called The Circuit. Photo of the one on Fountain's place after a good clean up.💦
