A great supporter of Taiwan is back!
Czech🇨🇿 Senate President Miloš Vystrčil arrived on his second visit to Taiwan since 2020, at the head of a 40-person delegation, a show of his unwavering support 🙌🏻
In his speech to the Legislative Yuan back in 2020, echoing US President Kennedy's "Ich bin ein Berliner" speech in 1963, he showed solidarity with the people of Taiwan, by saying in Mandarin "I am Taiwanese!" to great applause.

Taiwan has overtaken India to become the world’s fifth-largest stock market by market capitalization, driven largely by a massive rally in technology and semiconductor stocks. According to Bloomberg data, Taiwan’s stock market value climbed to nearly $4.95 trillion, edging past India’s $4.92 trillion. Taiwan now ranks behind only the United States, China, Japan, and Hong Kong in global market value.
Analysts say the surge has been powered mainly by chipmaking giant Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), which has benefited heavily from the global artificial intelligence boom. TSMC’s shares have reportedly risen nearly 49% this year, accounting for a major portion of Taiwan’s benchmark index.
Meanwhile, India’s markets have faced pressure from foreign investor outflows, slowing earnings growth, and rising energy costs. Experts believe the global shift toward AI-driven technology stocks has significantly favored Taiwan’s market over traditional growth sectors.
