Community Police Officers attended 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑆𝑡𝑜𝑟𝑦 𝑃𝑜𝑡 which was part of the Ħġejjeġ organised by the Human Rights Directorate & Kunsill Regjonali Port.

It was a great opportunity to learn and engage with the attendees.

Community Police Officers attended a two-day workshop forming part of the CERV European Project "Inclusive Local Governance and Community Empowerment organised by the Kunsill Lokali L-Imsida.

The workshops created a valuable space for participants to learn from one another, share experiences, and exchange ideas. Through open dialogue, collaboration, and active participation, they explored practical and sustainable solutions, demonstrating how diversity can be transformed into one of our community’s greatest strengths

We will promote understanding and respect for cultural, social and economic diversity, ensuring inclusive and equitable policing with the communities we serve.

Last month, Cohesion Team officers participated in various Refugee Week events organised across the islands, where they had the opportunity to connect with people from different countries and diverse cultural backgrounds.

👮‍♂️ As part of the 212th Police Anniversary, Community Police Officers were out across Malta and Gozo meeting members of the public, sharing crime prevention advice, and distributing a small token of appreciation.

These moments of engagement are invaluable. By building trust and strengthening relationships with our communities, we encourage open communication and cooperation, helping us gather valuable information that contributes to safer neighbourhoods for everyone.

Together, we continue building safer and stronger communities. 💙

🇬🇧 On Saturday we kicked off the 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 with a bang in Valletta. There were displays from the Police band, Guard of Honour, Precision Drill team and K9. The Community Policing Team had a stall set up and provided crime prevention tips and some small gifts. Cohesion team officers were invited to attend the Eid Al Adha gathering organised by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Malta.

The event brought people together, regardless of their background or belief. It was truly a privilege to represent the Malta Police Force. Moments like these remind us that community isn't built through formal events alone, but through these shared gatherings as well.

Cohesion Team officers travelled to the sister island of Gozo to attend a seminar organised by the Gozo Business Chamber about '𝑀𝑎𝑛𝑎𝑔𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑊𝑜𝑟𝑘𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑐𝑒 𝐷𝑖𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑠𝑖𝑡𝑦'.

During the seminar, officers joined employers, community representatives, stakeholders, and organisations working directly with non-local communities to discuss the survey findings. Participants exchanged views and shared recommendations on how the identified challenges and opportunities could be addressed.
