The Namibia Trade Forum (NTF) is an agency of the Ministry of Industrialization, Trade and SME Development. Our main mandate is to institutionalize Public/Private dialogue and cooperation with emphasis on international and domestic trade and investment policies as stipulated by the fourth National Development Plan (NDP4).

The Namibia Trade Forum (NTF) successfully hosted the Financial Services Market Access Workshop, Today, 29 October 2026, at the Avani Hotel in Windhoek, in collaboration with the AfCFTA,SADC Secretariat and the Ministry of International Relations and Trade (MIRT).

The workshop objectives were to:
Provide an overview of Namibia’s trade in services frameworks and facilitate dialogue on market access opportunities within the region and continent.

Participants gained insights into how Namibia can leverage its commitments under the SADC Protocol on Trade in Services and the AfCFTA Protocol on Trade in Services to expand exports of banking, insurance, fintech and allied professional services across 16 SADC Member States and 54 AfCFTA State Parties.

The NTF commends all stakeholders for their active engagement and contributions towards positioning Namibia’s financial sector for regional and continental growth.

Through meaningful dialogue and knowledge sharing, we continue to strengthen collaboration, unlock opportunities, and position Namibia’s tourism sector for greater regional and continental growth.

Today marked the official launch of the first-ever Namibia Diplomatic Fair 2026 at the Parliament Gardens in Windhoek!
