Brandt Auster Farming cc Wins SanlamAllianz Namibia Bridge
Dean Brandt, founder of Brandt Auster Farming cc, was crowned the overall winner at today’s SanlamAllianz Bridge Programme graduation and pitch event, hosted in partnership with the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB). Brandt’s compelling pitch stood out among four bold entrepreneurs competing on the day, beating out Tezer Printing and Embroidery Services, Twin Horizons Investment cc and Loide Bead and Designs cc to claim the top prize.
The SanlamAllianz Bridge Programme is an entrepreneurial support initiative that helps young Namibian founders turn early-stage business ideas into viable, scalable enterprises through seed funding, mentorship, training and pitch exposure. Through this partnership, SanlamAllianz and NIPDB are advancing NIPDB’s MSME mandate by coordinating funding, capacity-building and market-access support so that Namibian MSMEs can grow, create jobs and drive inclusive economic development.

The 4th Edition of the Namibia Oil and Gas Conference and Exhibition Officially Launched
The 4th edition of the Namibia Oil and Gas Conference and Exhibition was officially launched today, with NIPDB proud to partner with the Economic Association of Namibia, the Hanns Seidel Foundation, the National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (NAMCOR), Rhino Resources and SNC Incorporated in this important platform for Namibia’s energy future. The conference returns to Windhoek from 18-20 August 2026 and will bring together government, industry, investors, SMEs, youth, academia, and civil society to explore how Namibia can grow local business participation, build skills, and create more opportunities across the oil and gas value chain. It is also a space for practical conversations, new partnerships, and real action that can help turn Namibia’s energy potential into long-term benefits for its people.
Under the theme “From Decision to Dividend: Making Namibia’s Oil Work for Namibians,” NOGC 2026 will continue to serve as a national platform for inclusion, partnership, knowledge sharing, and sustainable economic development. SME FUND FIRST CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
The SME Fund is officially inviting MSMEs to apply for its first Call for Applications, offering funding and business support to unlock growth and competitiveness. Part of the ProSME Project, a partnership between NIPDB, NPC, and GIZ, the fund aims to strengthen enterprise sustainability and drive inclusive economic development across all 14 regions of Namibia.
Applications are open to all sectors, with a special emphasis on youth-led and women-led enterprises, as well as businesses demonstrating innovation, sustainability, and job creation. Interested applicants can apply online at http://smefund.nipdb.com/ between 10 June and 24 July 2026.

Namibia Launches SME Fund to Accelerate MSME Growth and Competitiveness
Namibian MSMEs can now access targeted funding and integrated business support through the newly launched SME Fund, implemented by the National Planning Commission (NPC), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB).
Under the ProSME Project, eligible enterprises may apply for grants ranging from N$50,000 to N$100,000 to scale operations, enhance competitiveness and unlock new market opportunities in priority sectors, with applications open until 24 July 2026.

The SME Fund forms part of the broader Promotion of SME Development in Namibia (ProSME) Project, implemented by the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB) in partnership with the National Planning Commission (NPC) and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
