𝗨𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘄𝗮, 𝗛𝘂𝗸𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮!

Maligayang araw ng mga manggagawa! Sa araw na ito, ating kinikilala at pinahahalagahan ang walang sawang sipag, dedikasyon, at sakripisyo ng bawat manggagawang Pilipino. Kayo ang tunay na lakas ng ating bansa—sa bawat oras ng pagtatrabaho, sa bawat hamon na nalampasan, at sa bawat pangarap na patuloy ninyong ipinaglalaban.

Ngayong araw din ay kaisa ninyo kami, bilang mga mag-aaral ng kolehiyo ng ekolohiyang pantao, upang mas ipatambol ang ating mga panawagan gaya ng dagdag sahod na nakabubuhay. Gaya ng ating palaging sinisigaw: sahod itaas, presyo ibaba!! Kaisa niyo rin kami sa panawagan na wakasan ang ENDO at gawing regular ang ating mga manggagawang kontraktuwal!!

Tuloy-tuloy ang laban tungo sa makatarungang paggawa!

𝗠𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗵𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 🇵🇭✊

𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪 ☝️🤓

The Bayawan Water District was able to reduce water tariff in Bayawan City, Negros Oriental from 148.00 to 100.00 per 10 cubic meter consumption or by 32%!

The water district was established at the site of a former National Waterworks and Sewerage Authority (NAWASA) facility by virtue of Presidential Decree No. 198, also known as the "Provincial Water Utilities Act of 1973."

Known today as the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS), NAWASA was the government agency responsible for managing water supply in the Philippines. The NAWASA facility in Bayawan City, Negros Oriental established in the 1940s had faced problems, such as leaks in its transmission and distribution pipelines and the reduction of available water supply. During heavy rainfall, the water supply also became turbid due to surface run-offs.

The local government of Bayawan under Mayor Felix Gaudiel, Jr. responded by passing Sangguniang Bayan Resolution No. 79, creating a water district to address the dwindling water resources of the government.

Ngayong ika-14 ng Abril, ay tumambad sa mga residente ng Purok 6B, Brgy. Bambang, Los Baños, Laguna, ang sapilitang demolisyon ng kanilang mga tahanan. Ang pagpapaalis na ito ay dulot ng isang kasong panglupa na pinaboran ang pribadong korporasyon ng Bambang Land Corporation.

Sa kabila ng hindi makataong pagpapaalis at demolisyon na natatanggap nila sa kasalukuyan, patuloy na nanindigan at pinaglalaban ng mga residente ang kanilang mga karapatan sa kanilang lupa at tahanan.

Bilang mga mag-aaral ng ekolohiyang pantao, mariin naming kinokondena ang hindi makatarungang demolisyon, at nakikiisa kami sa laban ng mga residente ng Purok 6B para sa kanilang mga karapatang pantao, lalo na ang kanilang karapatan sa ligtas, maayos, at disenteng tirahan. Ang laban ng Purok 6B ay laban din ng mas nakararaming komunidad sa buong bansa.
