In a powerful tribute to our planet, the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) Region 7 spearheaded a massive cleanup drive along the Butuanon River! This effort was part of a larger, region-wide initiative by DENR Central Visayas, which saw simultaneous cleanups across 9 different sites.

The energy on the ground was incredible โ€” fueled by teamwork, passion, and a shared vision for a healthier community. Check out the massive impact we made at the Butuanon River alone:

Over 270 land titles were successfully distributed to stakeholders and title holders during the conduct of the DENR Express: Permitting on Wheels n in Trinidad, Bohol, bringing government environmental and land administration services closer to the people. The activity benefited more than 270 stakeholders through faster, more efficient, and accessible frontline services made possible through the strong collaboration of EMB, Registry of Deeds, PhilHealth, and the MLGU of Trinidad.

The caravan also served as a venue to address various land-related concerns and inquiries, process environmental compliance applications, and strengthen environmental sustainability initiatives through the distribution of 500 seedlings of Narra, Kalingag, Putian, Santol, and Guyabano species for reforestation efforts.

ARD for Management Services ARD Edna D. Nuestro underscored the directive of the DENR Central Office to make government environmental services more accessible, efficient, and responsive to communities. Meanwhile, ARD for Special Concerns ARD Jose Cleo Cary F. Colis reaffirmed the officeโ€™s commitment to continuously extend assistance and support to stakeholders and partner communities.

Through the Services on Wheels Caravan, DENR continues to strengthen responsive governance by delivering efficient environmental and land administration services while promoting sustainable development in every community.

The Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) Region VII joined the rest of the DENR family and other government agencies in Central Visayas in opening Environment Month 2026 with a lively kickoff held today at the DepEd Ecotech Center in Lahug, Cebu City.

The event commenced with a foot parade and a unified flag-raising ceremony participated in by representatives from different government agencies.

The event became more festive as participants showcased their creativity during a chant and yell competition focused on environmental protection.

Regional Directors and Heads of Offices from other agencies sign their pledges, committing to further integrate environmental protection and sustainability into their respective offices and their programs and operations.
