๐๐๐๐๐๐๐: Bilang bahagi ng patuloy na pagpapalakas ng ugnayan at koordinasyon sa mga Migrant Desk Offices (MDOs) sa Region 1, matagumpay na isinagawa ng OWWA RWO 1 ang MDO Interim Officers Consultative Meeting ngayong ika-28 ng Mayo 2026 sa OWWA RWO 1, City of San Fernando, La Union.
Dinaluhan ang aktibidad ng mga interim officers ng ibaโt ibang MDO sa rehiyon upang talakayin ang mahahalagang usapin kaugnay ng Regional MDO Articles of Incorporation, mga kasalukuyang update, concerns at issues ng mga MDO, gayundin ang mga training schedules at proposed topics para sa CY 2026 action planning.
Pinagtibay sa naturang pagpupulong ang mahalagang papel ng mg MDO bilang pangunahing counterpart ng ahensya sa mga lokal na pamahalaan sa paghahatid ng maagap, mabilis, at makataong serbisyo para sa mga OFWs kanilang pamilya.
Muling pinagtibay ng ahensya at mga MDO ang kanilang iisang layunin na patuloy na maihatid ang โAlagang OWWA, Serbisyong may Pusoโ para sa bawat OFW at kanilang pamilya sa Region 1.

Nagdaos ang Overseas Workers Welfare Administration Regional Welfare Office 1 (OWWA RWO1), sa ilalim ng Education and Training Unit (ETU), ng 'Community-Based IT Training on Visual Graphic Design' sa Sugpon, Ilocos Sur.
Nakiisa sa aktibidad ang 25 na kalahok na binubuo ng mga empleyado kasama ang kanilang mga pamilya at mga dependent ng Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).
Target ng programa na mapalawak ang kaalaman ng mga kalahok sa digital technology, mapahusay ang kanilang pagiging malikhain, at mahubog ang kanilang technical skills sa larangan ng visual graphic design at information technology.
Layunin din ng pagsasanay na mapaigting ang digital literacy at makapagbigay ng mas malawak na oportunidad sa paggamit ng teknolohiya para sa komunikasyon at pagpapaunlad ng kabuhayan ng mga kalahok.

Nagsagawa ang Overseas Workers Welfare Administration Regional Welfare Office 1 (OWWA RWO1), sa ilalim ng kanilang Education and Training Unit (ETU), ng dalawang araw na OFW Childrenโs Circle (OCC) Program noong Mayo 26โ27, 2026 sa Sugpon, Ilocos Sur.
Ang OCC program na โSulong Sugpon: Empowering OFW Children Through Leadership, Financial Literacy, and Wellnessโ ay naglalayong palakasin ang kaalaman at kakayahan ng mga anak ng Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) sa leadership, financial literacy, emotional wellness, information technology skills, at childrenโs rights.
Kabilang sa mga naging aktibidad ang lectures, team-building exercises, at election ng OCC Sugpon Officers upang mahubog ang 'youth leadership' sa bayan.
Sa pagtatapos ng programa, muling tiniyak ng OWWA ang patuloy nitong suporta sa mga programa at inisyatibong nakatuon sa pag-unlad ng mga kabataan.

๐๐๐๐: The OWWA Region 1, through Education and Training Unit, conducted Community-Based IT Training on Visual Graphic Design at the Municipality of Sugpon, Ilocos Sur.
Dir. Marivic L. Mondina, Regional Director of OWWA Region 1, expressed her gratitude for the unwavering support and partnership of the humble Municipality of Sugpon in bringing learning opportunities and digital skills training closer to OFW families and dependents.
The activity gathered a total of 25 participants composed of employees with families and dependents of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).
The program aims to enhance participantsโ digital knowledge, creativity, and technical skills in the field of visual graphic design and information technology.
Mayor Hon. Daniel C. Laรฑo, Jr. likewise expressed support for initiatives that empower OFW families and dependents through skills enhancement and digital innovation, further strengthening responsive and inclusive community development in the municipality.
This training also seeks to promote digital literacy, improve workplace and entrepreneurial skills, and provide participants with opportunities to maximize the use of technology for communication, productivity, and livelihood development.

๐๐๐๐: The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration Regional Welfare Office 1, through its Education and Training Unit (ETU), successfully conducted the two-day OFW Childrenโs Circle (OCC) Program titled โSulong Sugpon: Empowering OFW Children Through Leadership, Financial Literacy, and Wellnessโ on May 26โ27, 2026, in Sugpon, Ilocos Sur. The program aimed to empower the children of OFWs by strengthening their awareness on childrenโs rights, financial literacy, leadership, wellness, and information technology skills.
The program officially opened with a welcome address from Sugpon Mayor Daniel C. Laรฑo Jr., followed by a special message from OWWA RWO1 Regional Director Marivic L. Mondina. ETU Unit Head Dr. Amapola Z. Villar presented an overview of the OCC Program and OWWA scholarship opportunities before Ms. Mary Grace S. Calura, MSWDO of Sugpon LGU, facilitated a discussion on Childrenโs Rights. In the afternoon, ETU staff Ms. Gerlyn S. Flores and Mr. Gianell G. Laroco conducted an engaging lecture on financial literacy, emphasizing smart budgeting, savings, and the responsible use of remittances.
The second day focused on leadership development, emotional wellness, and youth empowerment. Dr. Amapola Z. Villar delivered an interactive lecture on team and leadership, highlighting the importance of camaraderie, communication, comprehension, and collaboration among the youth. She also discussed emotional wellness and practical coping mechanisms specifically designed for sons and daughters of OFWs. The sessions were complemented by interactive team-building activities, communication games, and trust exercises that fostered stronger relationships among the participants.
One of the major highlights of the program was the formal nomination and election of the OCC Sugpon Officers, establishing a structured youth leadership circle in the municipality. Ms. Marissa C. Naboye, Chief of the Programs and Services Division, delivered the closing message, reaffirming OWWAโs commitment to supporting youth-centered programs and initiatives.
The two-day activity concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony and photo opportunity, celebrating the successful participation of OFW children alongside OWWA personnel, stakeholders, and officials from the Local Government Unit of Sugpon, Ilocos Sur.
