Ang pagtakas ni Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa ay hindi simpleng personal na pag-iwas. Ito ay malinaw na larawan ng kulturang impunidad na bumalot sa madugong gera kontra droga.

Libo-libong maralita ang walang pagkakataong tumakas noon. Maraming kabataan ang naulila at pinatay, maraming ina ang nawalan ng anak, habang buong komunidad ang tinakot at pinatahimik sa ngalan ng ‘kaayusan.’

Ngayon, kapag ang mga nasa kapangyarihan na ang inuusig at pinapanagot, biglang may pagtatago, pag-iwas, at paggamit ng impluwensya upang makaligtas.

Kung totoong may hustisya sa bansa, hindi lamang mahihirap ang marunong humarap sa batas.
Ang kabataan ay hindi bulag sa kasaysayan. Hindi namin kakalimutan ang dugo, takot, at buhay na nawala sa ilalim ng isang sistemang piniling protektahan ang makapangyarihan kaysa panagutin sila.

Walang tunay na demokrasya kung may iisang batas para sa mahirap at ibang batas para sa makapangyarihan at naghaharing uri.
Panagutin ang mga arkitekto ng karahasan! Wakasan ang impunidad ng lansang, lipunan, at sistema!

BATO ARESTUHIN!!!

𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐀, 𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐍! 𝐁𝐀𝐓𝐎, 𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐔𝐇𝐈𝐍!

Sa gitna ng matinding kahirapan, taas-presyo, mababang sahod, at patuloy na pagkaltas sa serbisyong panlipunan gaya ng edukasyon, muling inilantad ng naghaharing sistema ang kabulukan nito sa pamamagitan ng malawakang korapsyon, pampulitikang karahasan, at kultura ng impunidad.

Ang impeachment kay Sara Duterte ay hindi simpleng bangayan lamang ng magkakaribal na paksyon ng naghaharing-uri. Isa itong malinaw na manipestasyon ng lumalalang krisis ng burukrata-kapitalismo sa bansa; kung saan ginagamit ng mga nasa poder ang kaban ng bayan bilang personal na pondo habang milyon-milyong Pilipino ang gutom, walang trabaho, at pinapabayaan ng estado. Iniuugnay si Sara Duterte sa malawakang misuse ng confidential at intelligence funds, unexplained wealth, at mga banta laban sa kapwa nila nasa poder.

Kasabay nito, dapat papanagutin si Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa sa kanyang papel bilang pangunahing arkitekto at tagapagpatupad ng madugong “War on Drugs” ng rehimeng Duterte; ang kampanyang nagresulta sa libu-libong extrajudicial killings, karamihan ay mula sa maralitang sektor. Ang warrant of arrest ng ICC laban kay Bato ay bunga ng matagal na panawagan para sa hustisya ng mga biktima ng pamamaslang ng estado.

Ngunit malinaw rin sa mamamayan at kabataan na hindi abswelto ang rehimeng Marcos sa krisis na dulot ng kampo Duterte. Parehong dinastiya, korap, at sunud-sunuran sa interes ng iilang naghaharing-uri at dayuhang kapangyarihan ang dalawang paksyon na ngayo’y nag-aagawan sa kapangyarihan habang ang sambayanan ang tunay na naghihirap.

Hindi sapat ang impeachment kung walang tunay na hustisya. Hindi sapat ang mga hearing at Senate trial kung mananatiling ligtas ang buong makinarya ng pandarambong at pasismo.

Bilang mga Iskolar ng Bayan, tungkulin nating manindigan laban sa korapsyon, pasismo, at kultura ng impunidad. Hindi dapat manaig ang takot at pananahimik sa harap ng paglapastangan sa karapatang pantao at pagnanakaw sa kaban ng bayan.
