The Welfare and Development Section of Surigao City Jail warmly welcomed the inspection team from the Regional Office Welfare and Development Office headed by JINSP ROCHE C SALVA together with her team.

The activity aimed to assess and monitor the implementation of various welfare and development programs, ensure compliance with existing policies and standards, and strengthen the delivery of services for the welfare of both personnel and Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).

Surigao City Jail Personnel officially joined the YAKAP Program of PhilHealth through the initiative and support of the City Health Office headed by Dr. Madelle Edera. The activity aimed to update and strengthen the healthcare membership and benefits of jail personnel, ensuring accessible and quality healthcare services for all.

The registration and orientation highlighted the importance of preventive healthcare, PhilHealth Konsulta services, and the government’s continuing commitment to the welfare of public servants and their families.

LOOK | Surigao City Jail hosted the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony at Surigao City Hall attended by Hon. Mayor Paul Yves L. Dumlao II, Vice Mayor Atty. Alfonso S Cassura, and all City Councilors together with LGU personnel.

During the ceremony, JSINSP ROSALITO A REYNA presented the Quarterly Report of Surigao City Jail highlighting the accomplishments, programs, and initiatives of the facility.

The activity strengthened the partnership and collaboration between the BJMP and the Local Government Unit of Surigao City in promoting efficient public service, safety, and rehabilitation programs for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).

The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Surigao City Jail led by JSINSP ROSALITO A REYNA Acting City Jail Warden (BJMP) announces that five (5) Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) have benefited from the Good Conduct Time Allowance (GCTA) program, in recognition of their good behavior, discipline, and active participation in jail programs.

This initiative reflects the BJMP’s continuing commitment to uphold restorative justice and encourage PDL to reform and prepare for reintegration into society as responsible and law-abiding citizens.
