Following yesterdayโs flag ceremony, the Technological University of the Philippines โ Taguig conducted a Preparatory Fire Drill at the Multi-Purpose Hallโan essential initiative aimed at strengthening awareness, readiness, and coordinated response during emergencies.
The activity, led and discussed by Mr. Reginald Cutanda, provided participants with practical knowledge and strategies to ensure safety within the university community. More than just a compliance activity, it emphasized the importance of vigilance and preparedness in saving lives.
Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, this initiative reflects TUPTโs commitment to fostering a safe, resilient, and disaster-ready environment for all.

On April 23, 2026, the Research and Extension Office successfully conducted the Research Writing Workshop with the theme โNavigating the Frontiers of Academic Publishing: A Research Writing Workshop.โ
Through the leadership of Assistant Director for Research and Extension, Dr. Hector M. Tibo, together with the dedicated R&E Team, the workshop gathered Research Coordinators and faculty members who aspire to strengthen their research competencies and publish in Scopus-indexed journals.
The program formally commenced with inspiring opening remarks from Dr. Rexmelle F. Decapia Jr., followed by the introduction of the resource speaker by Dr. Zachariah John Belmonte, Head of the Research Office.
The session was enriched by the expertise of our distinguished speaker, Dr. Ardvin Kester Ong of Mapรบa University, who shared valuable insights on navigating the evolving landscape of academic publishing.
Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, this initiative strengthens academic capacity, promotes high-quality research, and fosters collaboration across institutionsโempowering educators to contribute meaningful knowledge toward sustainable and inclusive development.
