𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗢𝗥 𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞 𝗜𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠 𝗠𝗢𝗨

The Technological University of the Philippines – Taguig, through its Guidance and Counseling Office, successfully conducted the Signing Ceremony for the Senior High School Work Immersion Program Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on October 7, 2026, at the Accreditation Room, Administration Building.

The ceremony formalized the partnership between TUP-Taguig and two partner institutions: Senator Renato Compañero Cayetano Memorial Science and Technology High School (SRCCMSTHS) and Western Bicutan National High School (WBNHS). This collaboration aims to provide senior high school students with meaningful workplace exposure and practical learning experiences that will help prepare them for their future careers.

The event was graced by university officials and school representatives, led by Dr. Reynaldo P. Ramos, University President, who delivered the message on behalf of the university, and Dr. Rexmelle F. Decapia Jr., Campus Director, who gave the welcome remarks and presented an overview of the Work Immersion Program.

Also contributing to the success of the ceremony were Mr. Christopher Mitchell I. Azuelo, who introduced the partner institutions and their representatives; Ms. Mitchie M. Caurel, Head of the Office of Student Affairs and Guidance and Counseling Office, who discussed the purpose, objectives, roles, and responsibilities of the partnership; and Dr. Emmanuel L. Ferrer, Assistant Director for Academic Affairs, who delivered the closing remarks.

Representing the partner schools were Ms. Mirasol Pamittan-Gabaran, Teacher-in-Charge of the Office of the School Principal of SRCCMSTHS, and Ms. Monaliza T. Mesa, Secondary School Principal I of Western Bicutan National High School. Their participation signifies the shared commitment of the institutions to strengthening educational collaboration and providing students with relevant learning opportunities.

This initiative reinforces the university's commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals:

SDG 4 – Quality Education: Providing relevant and experiential learning opportunities that enhance students' knowledge, competencies, and readiness for future employment.

SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals: Building strong institutional partnerships and collaborative initiatives that contribute to inclusive and sustainable educational development.

Through this partnership, TUP-Taguig continues to strengthen its role in developing future-ready learners by connecting academic learning with real-world workplace experiences.

The Technological University of the Philippines – Taguig proudly recognizes the performance of its Chemical Technician examinees, reflecting the dedication, perseverance, and commitment of its students, faculty members, and academic community.

The campus recorded an 85.37% passing rate among first-time takers, while its overall passing rate reached 78.26%. These milestones represent the university's continuing commitment to providing quality technical education and preparing competent professionals for the industry.

This achievement supports Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by promoting inclusive, equitable, and quality education and lifelong learning opportunities. It also contributes to SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) through the development of skilled and competent professionals who can contribute to technological advancement and industrial growth.

𝗧𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗳 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗶𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴

The Technological University of the Philippines–Taguig (TUPT) community, composed of faculty members and staff, participated in a two-day seminar and training organized by the Office of the City Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Officer - Taguig on October 19–20, 2026.

The training equipped participants with essential knowledge and practical skills in providing immediate and appropriate emergency care, performing life-saving interventions, and managing basic first aid. Through this initiative, the TUPT community strengthened its capacity to respond effectively to emergencies and help ensure a safer and more prepared campus environment.

The activity was coordinated by *Ms. Maria Gena Cruz and Mr. Reginald Cutanda*, whose efforts helped facilitate the participation of the TUPT faculty and staff in this important capacity-building initiative.

This initiative supports *Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-Being*, by promoting life-saving knowledge and emergency care, and *SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities*, by strengthening disaster preparedness and community resilience.

Through continuous learning and collaboration with local government partners, TUPT reaffirms its commitment to building a safety-conscious, responsive, and resilient academic community.

What an inspiring and intellectually charged two days we’ve had! Our community recently wrapped up a successful IP Management Training (October 15-16, 2026), proudly held in collaboration with 𝐼𝑠𝑙𝑎 𝐿𝑖𝑝𝑎𝑛𝑎 & 𝐶𝑜., 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑃ℎ𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑝𝑝𝑖𝑛𝑒 𝑚𝑒𝑚𝑏𝑒𝑟 𝑓𝑖𝑟𝑚 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑃𝑤𝐶 𝑛𝑒𝑡𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑘.

The event kicked off with powerful opening remarks by 𝘛𝘜𝘗 𝘛𝘢𝘨𝘶𝘪𝘨 𝘊𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘶𝘴 𝘋𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗥𝗲𝘅𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗙. 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗮 𝗝𝗿., who challenged the TUP Taguig faculty and staff to innovate more, create high-impact technologies with true commercial value, and dedicate their work to uplifting the Filipino people.

We were then privileged to dive deep into learning with our stellar resource speaker, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗝𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗧. 𝗥𝗼𝘅𝗮𝘀-𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗮, 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘯𝘦𝘳, 𝘋𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘊𝘰𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘍𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘢𝘵 𝘗𝘸𝘊 𝘗𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴, who provided fantastic insights into the real economic value of intellectual property and how to turn brilliant engineering concepts into market-ready assets.

Learning definitely didn't feel like work! The energy stayed high with fun individual and group guessing games expertly facilitated by 𝐌𝐬. 𝐒𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐚 𝐈𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐨 of PwC Philippines, keeping everyone engaged and smiling. 🧠✨

As our 2-day journey came to a close, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗛𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗠. 𝗧𝗶𝗯𝗼, 𝘈𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘋𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘌𝘹𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯, delivered heartfelt closing remarks, expressing deep gratitude for everyone's active participation, enthusiasm, and time invested in making the event meaningful.

At the 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞: 𝐀 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬’ 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, Commission on Higher Education Chairperson and Teacher Education Council Vice-Chairperson Shirley C. Agrupis, PhD, reaffirmed the national government’s commitment to building a stronger teacher education system, recognizing that quality education begins with the systems that prepare, support, and sustain our teachers.

In her message, Dr. Agrupis emphasized that improving the quality of education requires strengthening the entire system that shapes and supports teachers, beginning with quality teacher preparation, strong Teacher Education Institutions, and sustained support for teachers’ professional growth.

The Technological University of the Philippines–Taguig celebrated Teachers’ Day on October 7, 2026, in recognition of the dedication, commitment, and invaluable contributions of our educators in shaping minds and building futures.
The activity was organized by the University Student Government (USG) in collaboration with the Human Resource Office (HRO) and the Gender and Development (GAD) Office, reflecting the University's shared commitment to recognizing and appreciating the individuals who inspire, guide, and empower our students.

This celebration supports United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by recognizing the vital role of teachers in providing inclusive and quality education. It also advances SDG 5 (Gender Equality) by promoting a culture of respect, inclusion, and equal recognition within the academic community.
