Finance Center, Philippine Navy @ 53: Rooted in Excellence, Driven by Innovation – Sustaining the Mission

FORT BONIFACIO, TAGUIG CITY — The Finance Center, Philippine Navy (FC, PN) commemorated its 53rd Founding Anniversary with RADM EDWIN M NERA PN, Chief of Staff, Philippine Navy, representing VADM JOSE MA AMBROSIO Q EZPELETA PN, Flag Officer in Command, Philippine Navy (FOIC, PN) on 15 September 2026 at the Philippine Navy Officer Clubhouse, Marine Barracks Rudiardo Brown, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City, celebrating more than five decades of dedicated service, professional excellence, and steadfast commitment to the Philippine Navy.

The anniversary celebration highlighted the Center’s accomplishments throughout the year and recognized the outstanding individuals and units whose dedication and performance contributed significantly to the successful accomplishment of its mission.

A major highlight of the celebration was the recognition of the 2026 Outstanding Personnel and Units of the Year, honoring exemplary performance and commitment across different categories. The awardees were LCDR JETMARK MARCOS PN, Officer of the Year; DK2 Archiemedes P Dilag PN, Senior Enlisted Personnel of the Year; S1IT Edzel John A Catapat PN, Junior Enlisted Personnel of the Year; and Ms. Reina Liza L Bagalay CivHR, Civilian Human Resource of the Year.

The Center likewise recognized the exceptional performance of its Naval Finance Support Units (NFSUs), with NFSU Cebu being recognized as NFSU “B” of the Year, and NFSU Fort Bonifacio as NFSU “A” of the Year. Their recognition underscores the vital role of NFSUs in ensuring responsive, accurate, and efficient financial services to Philippine Navy personnel in their respective areas of responsibility.

The celebration also served as an opportunity to look back on the successful achievements of FC, PN during the past year. Through the collective efforts of its personnel, the Center continued to strengthen its financial management systems, improve payroll and claims processing, enhance support to NFSUs, and promote the delivery of timely and reliable financial services to its stakeholders.
Among the Center’s continuing initiatives are the advancement of its payroll management and digitalization efforts, the enhancement of financial processes and controls, and the sustained implementation of programs designed to improve efficiency, accuracy, accountability, and service delivery. These accomplishments reflect the Center’s commitment to adapting to emerging requirements while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.

More than a celebration of its 53 years of service, the anniversary reaffirmed the Center’s commitment to continuous improvement. FC, PN remains focused on identifying opportunities to streamline processes, strengthen systems, develop its personnel, and leverage technology in providing better financial services to the Fleet and the entire Philippine Navy.

The Center recognizes that its accomplishments are made possible through the dedication of its people. The achievements of FC, PN are therefore not only measured by completed programs and improved systems, but also by the professionalism, teamwork, and commitment demonstrated by every officer, enlisted personnel, civilian human resource, and NFSU.

As FC, PN moves forward, it remains steadfast in its commitment to serve with integrity, pursue excellence, and continuously improve in support of the Philippine Navy’s mission.
