At the Ngee Ann Polytechnic Graduation Ceremony on 4 May, the inaugural SkillsFuture Lifelong Learning Awards were presented to exemplary Continuing Education and Training (CET) graduates, in recognition of their dedication to lifelong learning and contribution to skills development in their work, social, and learning communities.
Guest-of-Honour Minister for Education and Minister-in-Charge of Social Services Integration, Mr Desmond Lee highlighted that in a fast-changing world shaped by geopolitical shifts, rapid advancements in technology and an ageing population at home, continuing to learn for life and staying adaptable will be more important than ever. The SkillsFuture Lifelong Learning Awards honours graduates who have done just that — not only pursuing lifelong learning with purpose but also inspiring those around them to do the same.
Fifteen graduates from CET programmes across the five polytechnics and the Institute of Technical Education, Singapore have been recognised for making significant efforts in their lifelong learning journey and creating positive impact by fostering a culture of continuous learning within their workplace or immediate social network. Congratulations to all the recipients!
