From 11 May to 13 May, The Primary 5 students participated in a three-day, two-night camp themed “Scaling New Heights Together.” The camp provided pupils with meaningful opportunities to learn beyond the classroom through activities designed to build team spirit and problem-solving skills, encourage personal challenge and self-discipline, and foster creativity and initiative.

Through a range of outdoor challenges and teamwork activities, pupils learnt to communicate effectively, support one another, and persevere through difficulties. Many overcame personal fears, gained confidence, and discovered new strengths while forging stronger friendships with their peers. The camp also reinforced important values such as responsibility, respect, and resilience.

The success of the camp reflects the school’s continued commitment to holistic education and character development.

We are proud to share that our Track and Field Team has been representing the school at the National School Games (NSG) Track & Field Meet. Over the past weeks, our athletes have shown great determination, discipline, and resilience as they competed against schools across Singapore.

Let us take a moment to recognise two of our pupils for their outstanding achievements:

From tentative first steps to confident performances on the competition floor, our gymnasts have shown what can be achieved through hard work, perseverance, and courage. Every training session was filled with learning, determination, and growth as they challenged themselves to master new skills and push beyond their limits. With the unwavering support and encouragement of their teachers and coaches, they developed not only their gymnastics abilities, but also resilience, confidence, and team spirit.

This year, our gymnasts proudly represented the school at the National School Games Gymnastics Competition. Training tirelessly every Tuesday and committing additional hours during the March holidays, they demonstrated remarkable dedication and commitment in preparation for the competition.

We are delighted to share that both Jeanne and Zhan Shuo were awarded the Junior Achievement Pin despite the strong competition and large pool of participants. Their achievements are a testament to their hard work, discipline, and perseverance.

Congratulations to Jeanne and Zhan Shuo on this wonderful accomplishment, and well done to all our gymnasts for representing the school with pride and determination!

"I am Darius Tong Zhi Lin from 6 Unity. I am proud to be the Vice-Captain of the Edgefield Primary School Senior Basketball Team. Representing my school in the National School Games this season has been a truly special and unforgettable journey for all of us.
This year, our team achieved a major milestone by finishing 4th in League 4. This accomplishment did not happen by chance. It was the result of hard work, perseverance, teamwork, and the constant support from our teachers, parents, teammates, and school.
What made this journey meaningful was not just the result, but everything we went through together along the way. Every training session, every game, every challenge, setback, and comeback helped us grow stronger as a team and as individuals. Through basketball, we built trust, friendships, and memories that I will always treasure.
One thing I especially appreciated was the way our teachers planned our training sessions. Instead of only repeating drills, they created different game situations and challenges that encouraged us to think, adapt, and solve problems during play. This made training enjoyable, engaging, and meaningful while helping us improve both individually and as a team.
As a Vice- Captain, I am truly proud of how far we have come together. Thank you, Edgefield Primary School, for giving us this opportunity, for believing in us, and for making this journey such a memorable one."

From P3 to P6, our netball journey at Edgefield has been one of growth, resilience, and unity. Many of us started shy and unsure, but through learning the basics and finding our roles, we grew in confidence both on and off the court. Netball taught us discipline, teamwork, and the courage to step up, while reminding us that mistakes are part of learning and growth.

Through every training and game, we improved in speed, agility, and game sense, but more importantly, we grew closer as a team. We encouraged, supported, and motivated one another, celebrating wins and learning from losses together, always believing in “one team, one goal.”

We are grateful for our teammates, coaches, and teachers—this journey has given us not just skills, but unforgettable memories. Proud of how far we’ve come, and excited for what lies ahead.

We did it!

Our Dancesport S*F team has achieved Distinction at the S*F Arts Presentation held at UCC on 23 April!

We couldn’t be prouder of our dancers, who truly shone with resilience, passion, and team spirit. Through every challenge, they rose stronger together, turning countless hours of intense practice into a powerful, polished performance. Every step, every move, every moment reflected their unity and determination.

A huge thank you to our school leaders, instructors, teachers and parents for your unwavering support and belief in our dancers. We could not have done it without you. A special shout-out to the parents’ volunteers who helped with the hair and makeup for the S*F competition!

To our incredible dancers — well done for making us so proud! Keep dancing & keep shining!

Alumni Sharing @ P6 EDGE Programme – LiLo: Live Life, Love Life

Last Wednesday, 29 April 2026, 17 alumni were invited to return to school as guest speakers for our P6 EDGE LiLo (Live Life, Love Life) Programme.

This invitation was part of our school’s effort to inspire, motivate and guide our current Primary 6 students by connecting them with former students who had gone on to make meaningful contributions in their secondary school lives. As someone who had walked the same corridors and shared similar experiences, each alumni brought unique and relatable perspectives that greatly benefited our students.

"Pongal Celebration at Our School
Our school celebrated Pongal through a series of enriching activities that brought together students, staff, and parents. A colorful Pongal booth was set up with the support of parent volunteers, providing students with opportunities to learn about the traditions and cultural significance of the harvest festival. A live Pongal celebration was conducted during the Primary 3 recess, allowing students to experience the festival in an authentic and engaging way. Students also showcased their talents during the Theatre of Hope performance, while Pongal-themed activities conducted during CCE lessons further deepened students’ understanding of gratitude, culture, and community.
