This morning, recruits from the 180th Basic Rescue Training (PTP) Intake enlisted for their Full-time National Service at NSTC. As they streamed in, they met fellow strangers who will soon become their buddies and brothers-in-training.

Parents and loved ones who were present to send them off also got a glimpse of the training that the recruits will undergo. They also witnessed the recruits reciting the Oath of Allegiance, before bidding their farewells.

[Basic Rescue Training Passing Out Parade - 179th Intake]

Earlier this morning, recruits from the 179th Intake Basic Rescue Training (BRT) stood proudly before their families and loved ones for their Passing Out Parade.

Gracing the event was Dr Wan Rizal, Deputy Chairperson for Government Parliamentary Committee (GPC) (Home Affairs and Law) and Member of Parliament for Jalan Besar GRC. In his address, Dr Rizal commended the recruits for their effort and commitment in completing the BRT and wished them all the best as they embark on the next phase of their National Service journey.

A key segment of the parade—the “Beret Presentation”—where families & loved ones personally don the beret on the recruits. Beyond marking the start of the recruits’ vocational training, it also signifies the unwavering support from their family in the recruits’ National Service journey.

Our heartiest congratulations to the recruits from the 179th Intake! You are now officially Rescuers of the Life Saving Force 🚒🚑. We look forward to your service and contributions in keeping Singapore safe and secure.

[89th Section Commander Course Graduation Parade]

Last week, 55 Specialist Cadet Trainees from the 89th Section Commander Course (SCC), comprising 19 Regulars and 36 NSFs, stood proudly before their families and loved ones at their Graduation Parade.

Gracing the event was COL Ellena Quek, Commander 3rd SCDF Division. In her address, COL Ellena commended the trainees for their mettle and commitment in completing the rigorous 22-week programme and wished them all the best as they embark on the new roles as Section Commanders.

[103rd Firefighter Course Passing-out Parade]

On 28th January 2026, the 103rd Firefighter Course (FFC) trainees marked a significant milestone in their journey with the SCDF at their Passing-out Parade. Standing tall and proud in front of their family members and loved ones, 71 trainees successfully completed their gruelling 13-week firefighting training.

The event was graced by COL Ser Boon Hui, Commander 2nd SCDF Division, who commended the trainees for their perseverance and hard work throughout the course. He also emphasised the importance of lifelong learning to hone their skills and enhance their knowledge to meet future challenges.

Heartiest congratulations to the graduands of the 103rd FFC! We wish you all the best as you continue your National Service journey with the SCDF. 👨‍🚒🚒
