Scammers contact victims through unsolicited messages or calls, offering fake ‘jobs’ that require them to complete simple tasks (for e.g., opening digital trading card packs) for initial commissions, before tricking them into making deposits to unlock higher-value tasks.

⚠️ NEVER accept dubious job offers that offer lucrative returns for minimal effort or require upfront payments.

⚠️ Scammers are posing as “Precious Active Aging Centre (PAAC)” staff via Facebook ads or through Whatapp calls. When contacted, victims are led to believe that they are interacting with PAAC staff. They were subsequently added to WhatsApp groups where the scammers phished for personal data and urged the victims to download a malicious app that could hijack banking apps that were installed on their mobile devices.

𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘁!

🚨 Do not join unsolicited WhatsApp groups, share personal details, or install apps from unknown sources.

✅Never join unsolicited WhatsApp groups or install unknown apps.

🎤Beware of scammers during concert season

$328,000 have already been lost to concert ticket scams in the first half of 2026!

Victims not only lost money, but also the opportunity to see their idols!

Scammers would pose as ticket sellers on online platforms and use fake screenshots of tickets and urgency tactics to pressure victims into making payment.

Victims only discover they have been scammed when tickets are not delivered, the seller becomes uncontactable or the tickets turn out to be invalid at the venue.

✅ Only buy from authorised platforms like Ticketmaster.

✅ Those with resold tickets will not be allowed into the venue and will be turned away from the concert with no refund.

✅ Call and check with the 24/7 ScamShield Helpline at 1799 if you are unsure if something is a scam! ☎️

⚠️ Scammers are posing as hotel staff on WhatsApp, claiming your booking has failed or that payment is pending. They then send bogus links to fake websites to steal your personal and credit card details.

𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘁!

🚨 Do not click on any links shared through WhatsApp requesting booking verification. Fraudulent websites are often designed to closely mimic legitimate platforms.

✅Verify the reservation through the official hotel booking apps and websites or contact the hotel directly using a verified number/ email.

Little moments, big smiles. 💙

This Children’s Day, we look back at some of the special moments our officers have shared with students and young children during our community engagements.

From curious questions to cheerful interactions, every encounter is an opportunity to build trust, share a little about what we do, and make safety something they can learn about from young. 👮🏻‍♂️👧🏻👦🏻

Happy Children’s Day to all our little ones! 🌟
