Set up in 1997, the North East Community Development Council (CDC) serves a population of over 914,000 residents in four Group Representation Constituencies (GRCs) and two Single Member Constituencies (SMCs). They are Aljunied, Sengkang, Pasir Ris – Punggol, Tampines GRCs, Hougang and Punggol West SMCs. North East CDC administers financial and employment assistance to residents in need as well as works closely with community and corporate partners to plan outreach programmes to promote bonding and social cohesion.

Pokémon, Kahoot, arts and crafts, not your typical Tuesday afternoon! But that's exactly what our NExus Interns had in store for the BRIDGE members of Muscular Dystrophy Association (Singapore) - MDAS!

As part of their NExus Internship Programme, our North East CDC interns had the privilege of collaborating with MDAS to plan a meaningful afternoon for their members, featuring Guess-What games, a mini karaoke session and arts and crafts! 🎨

What made the day meaningful was watching friendships form naturally between our interns and the MDAS members. It was a reminder that at the heart of community work, it is always about the human connections we make! 💛

A heartfelt thank you to Muscular Dystrophy Association Singapore for giving our NExus Interns the opportunity to create such a memorable experience. Here's to many more meaningful collaborations ahead!
