On 25 May 2026, the Embassy of the Republic of Guatemala to the Kingdom of Thailand had a meeting with representatives of the Thai Textiles and Fashion Association, Ms. Vilasinee Thephasadin Na Ayuthaya and Dr. Monika Dmochowska, to coordinate Guatemala’s participation in an upcoming cultural fashion event aimed at promoting the exchange of experiences between Guatemalan designers and Thai textiles.

This special runway event, which will be organized for the first time in January 2027, seeks to strengthen cultural ties and create new opportunities for collaboration through fashion, creativity, and traditional craftsmanship. 🇬🇹🇹🇭

On 21 May 2026, the Embassy of the Republic of Guatemala to the Kingdom of Thailand participated in International Tea Day 2026, jointly hosted by the Embassy of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and the Sri Lanka Tea Board.

The event offered a wonderful opportunity to experience and appreciate Sri Lanka’s rich cultural heritage and warm hospitality, while celebrating tea as a timeless symbol of tradition, connection, and friendship among nations.

On 21 May 2026, the Embassy of the Republic of Guatemala to the Kingdom of Thailand had a meeting with Ms. Panitta Srisa-Ard, Deputy Managing Director of The Mall Group Co., Ltd., and her team.

The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to exchange views on current and future areas of collaboration, particularly in the promotion of Guatemalan culture and gastronomy in Thailand. The Embassy greatly appreciates the continued support and partnership of The Mall Group and looks forward to further strengthening this meaningful cooperation in the years ahead.

On 20 May 2026, the Embassy of the Republic of Guatemala to the Kingdom of Thailand participated in “Latin Night: Viva La Fiesta,” hosted by Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, Ms. Suphajee Suthumpun — an evening dedicated to strengthening friendship, cooperation, and trade relations between Thailand and Latin America. 🇬🇹🤝🇹🇭

The event brought together diplomatic representatives and leaders from the public and private sectors to promote new trade opportunities and highlight Latin America’s potential as a strategic market of more than 650 million people.

Guatemala reaffirms its commitment to continuing to foster bilateral relations, economic exchange, and cooperation with Thailand.
