Each student develops and reaches their potential. K-12 students attend one of seven district attendance centers.

Basehor-Linwood Unified School District 458 serves students and families in a 90 square mile area of southern Leavenworth County, Kansas. Pre-K-5 buildings are located in Linwood, Basehor and the Glenwood Ridge subdivision. Students in grades 6, 7 and 8 attend Basehor-Linwood Middle School in Basehor, near the center of the district. Basehor-Linwood High School, located in Basehor, is a 5A school, serving students in grades 9 through 12. BLHS was named a 2012 National Blue Ribbon School. In addition, the district operates Basehor-Linwood Virtual School, an internet-based school serving approximately 200 K-12 students statewide. Special Education services are provided by the Tonganoxie/Basehor-Linwood Special Education Cooperative located in Basehor. USD 458 is part of a vibrant, growing suburban area with expanding student population and tax base. The mission of USD 458 is to serve all students developing and reaching their potential.

🟢 BLHS sophomores were able to experience first hand the financial perplexities facing many young adults as they participated in Reality U yesterday.

🟡 The program emphasizes the importance school has on future aspirations and how to make responsible financial decisions and tasks students to navigate different booths designed around real-world costs and scenarios, such as housing, utilities, transportation, and childcare.

🎉 Thank you to all our community partners who volunteered their time to work a station at the event!

🎟 Tickets can be purchased in advance at the BLHS office on school days between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. or at the doors before each show!

👟 Basehor Elementary School 2nd graders walked to downtown Basehor last Friday as part of their Community Walking field trip!

🏫 The students visited Fairmount Township Fire Department , Lynnmark Mercantile, the V.F.W., and the Basehor Farmer’s Market where they learned about the different roles in their community.

📍Their stops included cookie decorating, a scavenger hunt, visiting with a veteran, and touring a fire truck! Thank you to our community partners for hosting our students for a fun and educational field trip!

🎃👻 WOW! What an incredible night at Tech or Treat!

Last night, Basehor Intermediate School was filled with little scientists, engineers, inventors, and problem-solvers as families explored hands-on STEM activities throughout our Tech or Treat event!

🟢 This year, Basehor-Linwood schools are teaming up with Basehor-Linwood Assistance Services and hosting TWO food drives!

🍞 Our first food drive will kickoff next week at the schools listed in the flyer.

🤝 You can join us in helping BLAS by sending goods to school with your students or dropping them at the front office!
