Good afternoon Keep Dallas Beautiful Volunteers.
We are so excited to work with you to clean up 9th Street, one of the oldest neighborhoods in the City of Dallas. Your participation will make a real difference in keeping this community beautiful and thriving.
Community Clean Up Event Details:
📍 Starting Location: Greater El Bethel Baptist Church
🕘 Start Time: 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.
📅 Date: November 8, 2025
On the day of the clean-up we will start at Greater El Bethel Baptist Church. After going through a 'Welcome' and 'Brief Orientation' volunteers will pick up litter along the way to one of our beautification projects, the Interurban Bridge Over Clarendon. Once there, volunteers are welcome to take a short break and tidy up the median area. Afterward, we will head toward Moore Street, located next to the Oak Cliff Cemetery, a significant Dallas landmark.
Once the clean is concluded, volunteers are allowed to join festivities taking place at Townview High School, which is located 5 minutes away (walking time) along 8th street. Townview will be hosting Fam Jam, an event for local Dallas high school students, their parents, and Dallas residents. Attendees can enjoy free performances, resource booths, and other activities.
Blue arrows indicate start of route, orange indicates end of clean up. The Blue Triangle is the church, the Blue Circle is Clarendon, and the Orange square is the Church at the end of the cleanup.

In total, 8 City teams registered, and each one contributed to our collective goal — a true example of teamwork and community spirit in action.
A heartfelt thank-you to the B.E.S.T team, as well as Teresa Sims and her family for representing the City of Dallas Code Compliance Department, the #1 Code District in the country.
Your dedication and enthusiasm continue to make a difference. Together, we are saving lives and strengthening our community one step at a time.
