May 21 is Global Accessibility Awareness Day! Today, we join this annual recognition of the importance of access and inclusion for the more than one billion people worldwide who live with disabilities.

In Colorado, we are leading the way and supporting accessible travel. Our Colorado Tourism Office (CTO) partners with Wheel the World on the Accessible Travel Program, which helps destinations assess, improve, and promote accessibility for travelers with disabilities and their companions. To date, over 300 sites across 10 destinations are now accessibility verified, highlighting our state’s commitment to inclusive tourism experiences.
