๐ข County Funding for the Elizabethton Senior Center Is At Risk
For over 50 years, the Elizabethton Senior Center has provided programs, transportation, wellness activities, meals, resources, and social connection for older adults in our community.
The Carter County Budget Committee recently voted to move forward with removing outside agencies, including the Senior Center, as line items in the county budget. As the budget process continues, we encourage community members to respectfully share with their County Commissioners why senior services matter.
This is about more than a buildingโit is about the hundreds of older adults who rely on these services to remain active, connected, healthy, and independent.
