Every year during the second week of April, we recognize the incredible professionals who serve as the calm voice on the other end of the line—our dispatchers.
At Medevac Ambulance Service, our dispatchers are the true backbone of our operations. They work tirelessly behind the scenes, coordinating crews, managing critical information, and ensuring that every patient receives timely, efficient care. Their ability to stay composed under pressure, make quick decisions, and support our field teams is nothing short of remarkable.
This week is dedicated to you.
We encourage everyone to take a moment to recognize and celebrate the dedication, professionalism, and resilience of our dispatch team. Whether it’s a simple thank you, a kind word, or a moment of appreciation—your efforts do not go unnoticed.
To our dispatchers: thank you for your unwavering commitment, your countless sacrifices, and for playing such a vital role in saving lives and serving our community. You are an essential part of everything we do.
This week is for you 💙

As we wrap up an incredible weekend and head home from the 2026 EMS Update Conference at Seven Springs Mountain Resort, we want to take a moment to reflect and say thank you.
Weekends like this are a reminder that EMS is more than just a job — it’s a family. Seeing our team from Medevac Ambulance Service come together to learn, grow, and represent our organization with pride makes us incredibly proud. The dedication, professionalism, and passion each of you bring to this field truly shows.
From attending classes and sharpening our skills, to sharing laughs and stories with one another, this weekend was a great reminder of the camaraderie that makes our company special. The strength of Medevac isn’t just in the ambulances we run or the calls we answer — it’s in the people who show up every day ready to serve our communities and support one another.
Thank you to everyone from Medevac who attended and represented our company so well. Safe travels home, and we’re looking forward to putting everything we learned this weekend back into practice.

A message from EC Borough PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT:
Please remember, this storm will be putting the snow down fast and it will be hard for them to keep up! Give them a little slack as the main roads will need to be the priority! They will get to everyone but have patience please.
With the expected snow forecast, the Ellwood City Public Works Department will have 2, 4man crews working from midnight tonight until midnight Sunday night, with three men to a shift after that until Thursday at 11pm.
We suggest all vehicles to be parked in driveways or on the south and east sides of the road allowing us to clear one side without any vehicles, then cars can be moved to the north and west sides so that we can clear the other side without any vehicle, this will save us time and you from shoveling cars out. With this amount of snowfall we suggest that you stay in doors and be safe.
