Participants in our Summer LIFE program built confidence in navigating their community through exploring the University of North Florida campus, riding a ferry, and learning all about the public bus system with the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA)! 🚌⁠

For individuals with intellectual and developmental differences (IDD), learning to navigate communities and transportation is an important step towards greater independence, self-determination, and a sense of belonging. By gaining confidence in their ability to travel and access community resources, participants are better equipped to make great choices and pursue their goals. ⁠

Participants gained new skills in crafting, painting, baking, and harvesting blueberries! From interactive activities to life skills and social engagement, there's always something new to learn through our day programs! 🎨

Xplore participants are always learning with each adventure they take! Recently, they toured WJCT and explored Blue Cypress Park. 🏞️⁠

Whether for special events or leisure, community outings are essential for individuals with intellectual and developmental differences (IDD) to feel a part of their community and learn about different places around the city! ⭐️

Volunteers at Bank of America came out and helped bring our atrium and outdoor spaces back to life! Our atrium was refreshed and revitalized thanks to their hard work and dedication. 👏⁠
