Tom Anderson wrapped up our annual lecture series at the end of April while discussing his publication regarding the natural history of the Long Island Sound.
Each lecture provided the community a place for conversation and sparked curiosity. Thank you to our series sponsors and Lyman Allyn Art Museum for hosting the Park and brining folks together!

Congratulations to New London Public School teacher, Amy Golden, who was the lucky winner of the basket raffle at our Discover the Park event!
Amy attended with the Nutmeg Volunteer Junior Ancient Fife & Drum Corps and loved seeing all of the historic sites come together to offer activities for youth and families.

✨Volunteer Spotlight | Meet Barbara Nawrocki ✨
Barbara has been part of the volunteer force since her Docent Academy graduation in 2022! She can be found along the aisles of the Garde Arts Center, conducting tours at Fort Trumbull State Park, manning the post at the Fort's Gift Shop and serving as an ambassador on the boats in the summertime.
To quote Barb: "I get to enjoy what I'm doing while recognizing the need for volunteerism is great, but the rewards are definitely greater." 🗨

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making our event over the weekend a huge success! We loved having the opportunity to showcase our amazing partner sites throughout the park and in the community.
✨ Special shoutout to the crew at Fort Trumbull State Park for always being so accommodating and going above and beyond.
Coming Soon: keep an eye out for the Park’s summer boat schedule announcement. It is almost time to be back on the Thames River in the sunshine! ☀
