Pasadena Council District 6

Was amazing to watch our public safety personnel guide a mountain lion rescue from a residential neighborhood south of the Pasadena Convention Center to a soft landing today, with one unharmed mountain lion who has now been tagged and had a tracking device placed on him (with no harm to the animal) and is being returned to his natural habitat as we speak. Thanks to California Fish & Game, the Pasadena Humane Society, the Pasadena Police Department and the Pasadena Fire Department. They all do a job!

A mountain lion is in the area of Del Mar Boulevard & Euclid Avenue. Please shelter in place if you are near this area as a precaution. Animal control officers are on scene with the Pasadena Police Department. Traffic in the immediate area may be affected by road closures.

Due to construction, there will be a full street closure on Fair Oaks Ave. between Congress St. and Bellefontaine St. from 1 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, until 1 a.m. on Monday, May 11. Please avoid the area.

Vehicle detours will be routed via St. John Ave., Pasadena Ave., Raymond Ave., California Blvd., Glenarm St., and Bellefontaine St.
