Feb. 3 is designated by Congress as 4 Chaplains Day, commemorating the heroism of the 4 military chaplains who gave their lifejackets to other soldiers aboard a troo transport that had been torpedoed in the North Atlantic, sacrificing their own lives in service of their troops. They were awarded the Distinguished Service Cross, Purple Heart, and the Four Chaplains’ Medal. Join us in expressing thanks for those men and women who serve today as military chaplains!

Even strong swimmers struggle to survive after falling into cold water. Ensure that you return home to those you love by dressing in layers, including wearing a life jacket over a dry suit, when in, on, or near open water (lakes, rivers, ponds, etc.).
