Women's Empowerment educates and empowers women experiencing homelessness with the skills and confid WE Believe:

Women’s Empowerment’s mission was created by women expressing their needs, and a community coming together with the desire to end homelessness—for good. For 19 years, WE has empowered women and their children into breaking the cycle of poverty and achieving self-reliance. Located in Sacramento, California, WE provides education, counseling, essential services, and more, all in a safe and nurturing environment where every person is treated with respect and dignity. It is an experience, not their identity.
• Women are strong and resilient; each woman can be the author – and the hero – of her own life. With empowerment and support each woman can build the bright future she imagines for herself and her children. Women’s Empowerment is a holistic program that responds to the unique needs of each woman who is experiencing homelessness. We’re collecting donations to help make the holidays brighter for the women and children we serve. We’re in need of:

Meet Simone Kyles💜

When Simone joined Women’s Empowerment, she found a community that believed in her and, in her words, “they had faith in me.” Since joining the program, she has taken advantage of enrichment classes focused on parenting, cooking, fitness and wellness, recovery, and more.

One of Simone’s biggest takeaways has been: “I have learned that the most important thing to becoming your highest self is to get rid of all the negativity, let it fall off, and just continue on, pursuing what you want for your life and your career.”

Her hope after graduation? A good job, a stable place to call home, and the opportunity to keep building the life she wants.
