As we reflect on the legacy of this landmark law, our office reaffirms our commitment to access and representation for all Californians.

This month marks 102 years since Native Americans were granted U.S. citizenship through the Indian Citizenship Act of 1924. As we recognize the struggles and resilience of Native American communities, our office reaffirms our commitment to upholding the right to vote for every eligible Californian.

Juneteenth is a powerful reminder of the courage and determination of those who helped pave the path to freedom before, during, and long after emancipation.

Their words, resistance, and legacy are important now more than ever.
