⛈️ Today at East Terrell Hills Elementary School, Justin Horne, a meteorologist and reporter for KSAT 12 News visited a packed gym full of excited fourth graders! For Career Day, he explained what the term “meteorologist” meant and asked students to provide examples of something that “falls from the sky”. Students were well-behaved, polite, and asked pertinent questions. Mr. Horne can be viewed on Good Morning San Antonio, Good Morning San Antonio at 9, and across KSAT 12’s various platforms. Thank you for making our Career Day so exciting for us!

☀️ Hoy en la Escuela Primaria East Terrell Hills, Justin Horne, meteorólogo y reportero de KSAT 12 News, visitó un gimnasio repleto de estudiantes de cuarto grado entusiasmados. Explicó el significado del término "meteorólogo" y les pidió que dieran ejemplos de algo que "cae del cielo". Los estudiantes se portaron bien, fueron educados y formularon preguntas pertinentes. Nicholas Solis, an author/illustrator, recently presented an engaging session with ETH's 2nd-5th graders. He shared about his background, his books, and had a grito challenge!!

Congratulations to East Terrell Hills Second Grade Teacher Ms. Kimberly Romero, who was recognized last Thursday evening in the Madison High School Auditorium as the ETH nominee for the 2026 Trinity Prize for Excellence in Teaching. She is pictured here at the ceremony with NEISD's Interim Superintendent of Schools, Mr. Anthony Jarrett. We are happy for- and proud of Ms. Romero, and also grateful for her many contributions to our special school.

ETH partnered with another dual language school, Colonial Hills Elementary, to teach poetry to 1st graders.

📚 Our librarian put together a display featuring some of our staff's favorite children's books. Kids and staff have been flipping the pages to see who picked a certain book.
