Sepse mbrojtja e integritetit zgjedhor fillon me secilin prej nesh.
Ky aktivitet është mundësuar me përkrahjen e OSBE-së, Misioni në Kosovë.

📢Protecting election integrity is a shared responsibility.
🤝Political parties, media, and voters all play a role in creating an electoral environment where information is accurate, public debate is respectful, and voters can make informed decisions free from manipulation and abuse.
Whether by sharing verified information, reporting responsibly, or thinking before posting, every action contributes to a safer and more trustworthy online space.
Because protecting election integrity starts with all of us.

📢Zaštita integriteta izbornog procesa je odgovornost svih nas.
🤝 Politički subjekti, mediji i građani imaju važnu ulogu u stvaranju izbornog okruženja u kojem su informacije tačne i provjerene, javna debata zasnovana na međusobnom poštovanju, a birači mogu donositi informisane odluke bez manipulacije i zloupotreba.
Bilo da delimo proverene informacije, odgovorno izveštavamo ili pažljivo promišljamo pre objavljivanja i deljenja sadržaja, svaki naš postupak doprinosi stvaranju bezbednijeg i pouzdanijeg onlajn okruženja.
Jer zaštita integriteta izbornog procesa počinje od svakog od nas.

📱🧠 How can parents help children navigate TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and the wider digital world safely and critically?
During April and May, the OSCE Mission in Kosovo organized Media and Information Literacy (MIL) workshops for 102 parents and caregivers in Obiliq/Obilić, Gjilan/Gnjilane, Pejë/Peć, Prizren and Mitrovicë/Mitrovica South. The workshops brought together parents and caregivers from the Kosovo Albanian and Kosovo Serb communities.
Through practical exercises and open discussions, participants explored how to:
✅recognize disinformation and manipulative content,
✅ respond to cyberbullying and online risks,
✅ support healthy screen-time habits, and
✅ build open communication with children about social media and online safety.
This activity is part of the Mission’s broader efforts to strengthen Media and Information Literacy in Kosovo. The Mission will continue to support MIL as a priority area, helping children, young people, parents, educators and communities build critical thinking, resilience to disinformation, and safer, more responsible engagement with media and technology.

🎒Preventing school dropouts requires early intervention, strong co-operation, and inclusive support for all children!
supported the Municipal Education Directorate (MED) of Fushё Kosovё/Kosovo Polje in holding a training session for 41 members of the Prevention and Response Teams towards Abandonment and Non-Registration (PRTANs) of the eight lower primary schools in the municipality.
👥The training, led by the staff of the MED, focused on the functions of the mechanisms, as well as the protocols for handling cases of dropouts amongst children, with a focus on the situation of children from Kosovo Roma, Kosovo Ashkali and Kosovo Egyptian communities that are most at risk.
The Mission has been working with central and municipal level stakeholders to raise awareness of the issue of dropouts amongst non-majority community children, as well as to strengthen the capacity of existing mechanisms to effectively co-ordinate and implement responses to the phenomenon.

👮♂️🤝 facilitated a series of training sessions on community policing for newly appointed members of the Local Public Safety Committees (LPSCs), equipping them with the knowledge and practical skills needed to effectively address community safety concerns.
👥The new members, including community and municipal representatives, civil society, school representatives, and Kosovo Police from Mramor village of Prishtinë/Priština municipality, Štrpce/Shtërpcë, and Ferizaj/Uroševac Centre, strengthened their capacities to identify local safety challenges, engage with communities, and build trust-based relationships. Particular emphasis was placed on outreach activities, including involving all communities in community police work, thereby enhancing co-operation and co-ordination between local and government level safety mechanisms.
📝The new LPSC members were also guided on crucial components of developing project proposals, which the Mission will later help them implement to support community safety initiatives.

🤝As part of its ongoing efforts to advance inclusion and equality, the Mission supported the Municipal Action Committee (MAC) in Kamenicë/Kamenica in delivering an awareness-raising session on discrimination, prejudice, stereotyping, and anti-discrimination as part of the Local Action Plan (LAP) for the implementation of the Strategy for the Advancement of the Rights of the Roma and Ashkali Communities and Action Plan 2022–2026.
Bringing together Kosovo Roma youth from Kamenicë/Kamenica and the village of Berivojcë/Berivojce, the session created an engaging space for dialogue on human rights, equality, tolerance, and the mechanisms available for reporting discrimination. Participants openly discussed the challenges faced by the Kosovo Roma community, shared personal experiences, and exchanged ideas on how to foster greater inclusion and equal opportunities within their communities.
Beyond raising awareness among youth, the activity also contributed to strengthening the capacities and role of the MAC in implementing activities under its action plan. At the end of the event, educational and recreational materials were distributed to the participants.

📍 Our next local dialogue session in the series brought together representatives of the Ministry of Justice Coordination Office on Protection from Domestic Violence and chairs of local mechanisms on protection from Pejë/Peć and Gjakovë/Đakovica regions. 🏛️
💬 Discussion focused on the implementation of the Regulation on Local Coordination Mechanisms against Domestic Violence across Pejë/Peć, Istog/Istok, Gjakovë/Đakovica, and Junik municipalities🛡️.
The exchange highlighted practical challenges in implementation, challenges in the efficient functionality of the mechanisms including lack of budget allocation, capacity building to improve prevention and protection responses for survivors, and reinforced the importance of timely and effective multi-institutional co-operation in addressing domestic violence and violence against women.
🤝 Together, we remain committed to supporting stronger institutional responses and better protection for all.🤝
The OSCE Mission in Kosovo welcomes the joint statement issued by the religious leaders of Kosovo representing the Islamic Community, the Serbian Orthodox Church, the Catholic Church, the Protestant Evangelical Church, and the Jewish Community. That leaders of different faith communities have chosen to speak with one voice is a significant and timely contribution to the public climate in Kosovo, particularly as the electoral period begins. The Mission fully supports the principled position the religious leaders have set out.
As the election campaign begins, the OSCE Mission in Kosovo reiterates the importance of honouring the commitments undertaken through the Declaration on Eliminating All Forms of Violence against Women in Politics and Public Life.
Ensuring a safe and inclusive environment is essential for women to participate fully and equally in electoral and political processes. These commitments are not symbolic; they carry an obligation to act, and the Mission underlines the necessity of translating them into concrete conduct throughout the campaign and beyond.

⚖️ Access to free legal aid is essential for protecting the rights of the individuals regardless of their financial status or social background. It provides critical legal support to survivors of domestic violence, children, persons with disabilities, people facing discrimination, non-majority communities and other vulnerable groups.
We supported the Free Legal Aid Agency (FLAA) to update the internal Guidelines for processing free legal aid cases by strengthening procedures, expanding access to services, and reinforcing professional and ethical standards.
🏛️ Free legal assistance removes barriers for access to justice, promotes fairness and accountability and strengthens trust in the justice system.
💬 “The updated Guidelines, developed with the support of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, strengthens equal access to justice and the standardization of free legal aid”, said Acting Director of the FLAA, Mr. Faton Jashari.
