Great to have Belgian triathlete Jelle Geens in at ACSA ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿšดโ€โ™‚๏ธ
ย
The two-time Ironman 70.3 World Champion spent time in the wind tunnel a few months back as he prepares for a big 2026 season and a potential move up to the full Ironman distance. With the bike leg doubling in distance, even the smallest aerodynamic gains can make a huge difference ๐Ÿค
ย
Looking forward to seeing whatโ€™s ahead for Jelle over the next few months ๐Ÿ‘Š

Connection through culture and storytelling ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ’›โค๏ธ

As part of our Connection to Country athlete artwork series, our cycling athletes have been working alongside proud Barkindji artist Caitlyn Davies-Plummer to create artworks reflecting identity, journey, connection and unity. Through the project, athletes were encouraged to explore and share their own stories while deepening their understanding of culture and connection to country ๐ŸŽจ

During National Reconciliation Week 2026, projects like this continue to highlight the power of conversation, learning and connection through sport ๐Ÿšด๐Ÿšดโ€โ™‚๏ธ

A huge thank you to the AIS for making this project possible ๐Ÿ™Œ

An incredible five months for Aidan Murphy โšก๏ธ
ย
From 17 January to 21 May, Aidan raced 14 individual events alongside two relay appearances, helping Australia claim bronze in the World Athletics Relay Championships. Across that stretch, he produced eight performances faster than the PBs he held at the beginning of 2026, repeatedly dipping under or right alongside the dashed red line marking his previous bests.
ย
Now sitting second on the Australian all-time list in both the 200m and 400m, the newly crowned Oceania Champion turns his attention to the European season and a potential Commonwealth Games campaign ๐Ÿ‘

Building stronger support systems ๐Ÿค

SASI hosted a two-day Para Performance Support workshop alongside the Australian Sports Commission and Paralympics Australia, bringing together national sporting organisations and institute network physios, carers and performance support staff from across the country.

Focused on collaboration, shared learning and athlete-centred care, the workshop explored best practice across physiotherapy, medicine, psychology, neurodiversity and technical support to help drive sustainable success in para sport ๐Ÿ‘
