Celebrating our amazing teachers this World Teachers’ Day! >> Our staff enjoyed a wonderful morning tea filled with a delicious spread of sweet and savoury treats, bringing everyone together to celebrate the incredible work our teachers do every day.

A big thank you to Chappy Jenny for organising such a lovely morning tea and helping us celebrate the people who make a difference in our students’ lives.

Our Deputy Principal of Middle School, Mr Petersen, also presented Certificates of Recognition to teachers who have dedicated 10, 15, 20 and 30 years of service to the Department of Education. Congratulations to all our recipients on this wonderful milestone!

At Yeronga State High School, we are incredibly grateful for the passion, care and commitment our teachers bring to their work. Every day, they inspire curiosity, nurture potential, build confidence and create opportunities for our students to thrive. Their impact reaches well beyond the classroom, helping shape the people our students become and the futures they create.

To every teacher at Yeronga SHS, thank you for the difference you make, the encouragement you give and the countless ways you support our students and school community. Your dedication truly matters, and today we celebrate you! 💐😊💚💛

🎬 Student Success | Sofia’s Short Film >> We’re excited to share the creative work of Sofia Candaten, who studied Certificate III in Screen and Media at Yeronga State High School. Her short film was selected as a semi-finalist in the Future Stars Festival!

Adding a special touch to this achievement, the film features an all-star cast of Yeronga students, including Sofia’s very own mum! 🎥❤️

You can now watch Sofia’s film on her YouTube channel and experience the creativity, storytelling and talent behind her work.

We’re proud of Sofia and the opportunities our Media Arts students have to develop their skills, share their stories and bring their ideas to life. 😊💚💛

FAB FRIDAY >>HALLOWEEN AT YERONGA! 🎃

Our Yeronga staff embraced the spooky spirit this FAB Friday, bringing some Halloween fun to school!

We had zombies, witches, vampires, ghosts and even Spider-Man. There were spooky accessories and creepy-cool outfits while others kept it simple with a splash of Halloween colours: our staff got creative!

But the best part? Seeing the big smiles and surprised faces of our students as they spotted their teachers dressed up in their spooky costumes!
A big thank you to everyone who joined in and made this FAB Friday extra special.

Wishing everyone a spook-tacular Halloween! 👻🎃🕷️

Every great future starts with someone who believes in you. 💛💚

In Ms Lennon’s Year 12 English class, students placed their hands alongside their teacher’s, sharing their dreams and aspirations for the future. Each hand tells a story of ambition, possibility and the people who help us believe in what we can become.

As our Year 12s prepare for their next chapter, this beautiful moment is a reminder that teachers do more than teach - they inspire, encourage and help shape the futures of the young people in their care.

Here’s to the dreams ahead and the teachers who help make them possible. 😊💚💛
