Springtime blooms in the Gardens

Curcuma australasica – Cape York Lily

The first showy flowers have popped up with the onset of warmer weather in the Tropical Shade Garden, which is sure to continue and make a stunning display.

The flowers are followed by clusters of dark green pleated leaves 30 - 80cm high. The plant dies back to the perennial rhizome in the dry season. Come and visit the Tropical Shade Garden over the coming weeks and months to see the plants continue to pop up.
