H.E. Dr. Emmanuel Mallia attended the reception hosted by H.E. Mr. D. Paulin G. R. Yanga, Ambassador of the Republic of Cameroon to the Kingdom of Spain, and Mrs. Monique Rose Yanga, on the occasion of the 54th National Day of the Republic of Cameroon.

Held in Madrid, the event brought together members of the diplomatic corps, government representatives, and distinguished guests in celebration of Cameroon’s national unity, rich cultural heritage, and continued development.

The occasion also provided an opportunity to reaffirm the friendly relations between Malta and Cameroon, while highlighting the importance of diplomatic engagement and international cooperation in strengthening ties between nations.

On 20 May 2026, Ambassador Emmanuel Mallia had the honour of attending the reception marking Norway’s National Day, hosted by the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Madrid.

Ambassador Mallia conveyed his warmest congratulations to H.E. Ambassador Lars Andersen and to the people of the Kingdom of Norway on this auspicious occasion. He also commended the Royal Norwegian Embassy for organising a memorable and elegant celebration. The event provided a valuable opportunity to further strengthen the excellent bilateral relations between Malta and Norway, founded on shared values and close cooperation.

H.E. Dr Emmanuel Mallia attended the event “El mundo es nuestra colmena: abejas sin fronteras”, organised on the occasion of World Bee Day by the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Madrid.

Held at the Real Jardín Botánico-CSIC, the event brought together experts and participants to highlight the importance of biodiversity, environmental awareness, and the vital role of bees in sustaining ecosystems. The programme included a series of insightful talks followed by a visit to the exhibition space at the Glorieta de los Plátanos, fostering engaging discussions on sustainability and cross-border environmental cooperation.

A valuable occasion underscoring the shared commitment to protecting nature and promoting ecological responsibility.

The Embassy of the Republic of Malta in Madrid, through its Deputy Mr. Danilo Bonnici, participated in the reception hosted at the Residence of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland on the occasion of its National Day, held on 13 May 2026.

The event, hosted by Chargé d’Affaires a.i. Ms Monika Krzepkowska, brought together members of the diplomatic corps and distinguished guests to celebrate the strong ties of friendship and cooperation between nations.

The Embassy of the Republic of Malta in Madrid, through its Deputy Mr. Danilo Bonnici, participated in the concert of Bosnian classical guitarist Dani Šehu, organised by the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Kingdom of Spain in cooperation with the Diplomatic Academy, held on 11 May 2026 at the Centro Cultural de los Ejércitos in Madrid.

The event was organised on the occasion of Europe Day and paid tribute to the presence of the Spanish Army within peacekeeping missions in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The programme featured guitar compositions from Spain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Latin America.
