Many people have heard of Tourette Syndrome (TS), but misconceptions abound. It’s not about shouting obscenities - it’s a complex neurological condition that affects people in profound ways.

People living with TS experience a range of motor and vocal tics, which can be exhausting, painful, and emotionally draining. Yet, stereotypes and misinformation often lead to isolation and discrimination.

Education is key, in schools, workplaces, and communities, we must break the myths surrounding TS.

Mae nifer wedi clywed am Syndrom Tourette (ST), ond mae camsyniadau yn helaeth. Nid gweiddi geiriau anweddus ydyw - mae’n gyflwr niwrolegol cymhleth sy’n effeithio ar bobl mewn ffyrdd difrifol.

Mae pobl sy’n byw gyda ST yn profi ticiau corfforol a llafar amrywiol, sy’n gallu bod yn flinedig, poenus ac achosi pwysau emosiynol. Ond, mae stereoteip a chamsyniadau’n aml yn arwain at unigedd a gwahaniaethu.

Mae addysgu yn allweddol - mewn ysgolion, gweithleoedd a chymunedau, mae’n rhaid i ni chwalu’r mythau’n ymwneud â ST.
