🔥🌳 Building a Fire-Ready Community! 🚒🏡 The Forestry Department, in partnership with the Jamaica Fire Brigade, hosted an exciting Fire Training Workshop in the forest community of Chambers Pen, Hanover!
Community members rolled up their sleeves and got hands-on experience through both theoretical and practical training sessions designed to strengthen wildfire preparedness and response. From understanding fire behavior to learning essential fire suppression techniques, participants gained valuable skills that can help protect lives, homes, farms, and livelihoods.
🔥 Knowledge is power, but practice is protection! By equipping residents with the tools and confidence to respond effectively, we are helping to reduce the devastating impact that forest fires can have on communities and the environment.
A big thank you to everyone who participated and showed their commitment to keeping Chambers Pen safe and resilient. Together, we're not just fighting fires—we're building stronger, safer communities!
