📢The first EMT Blog article of the year 2026 on KCTI
Read about 'Le p’TI Journal', a collection of articles published in foreign languages and subsequently translated into French at the University of Liège.
The article entitled 'A multilingual magazine produced entirely by translation students at the University of Liège' was written in French by Patricia Janssens , Valérie Maris and Mathilde Mergeai, Translation and Interpreting program in the Department of Modern Languages at the University of Liège and translated from French by Laura Gerday and the Master's students studying French-to-English Translation Practice.
'Merci' to Valérie Maris for coordinating this and congratulations to the University for this great project.

📢Our EMT network is approaching fast (hope you have already registered‼) and another interesting event is taking place on those days, involving also EMT students🤓
Check that:
👉On 23 and 24 October 2025, the students and teaching teams from the T2M and TA2M MA programs at Université Bourgogne Europe are organising a two-day hybrid event (mostly in English, open to all, on-site in Dijon and online) on the topic "Intersections: Translation, Accessibility, Inclusion". The program (and registration for the online event) is available at the link https://tinyurl.com/intersections2025
👉The event combines:
a day of research workshops on Thursday 23 October, exploring the intersections between the disciplines involved but also the intersectionality between questions that trainee translators and accessibility providers can learn to help address a day aimed at a wider audience on Friday 24 October, with a conference on post-migrant theatre, a round-table discussion on the theme of inclusion in a university environment and time for student discussion groups that can be held on any university campus and/or online.
🤩The second day will conclude with the launch of an open game translation contest "LocJam: Art, Politics and Accessibility" organised by our students with the assistance of Alain Dellepiane and the LocJam team. The game to translate -- from English to whatever language the participants choose, on a theme related to the "Intersections" event -- will be revealed from 16:00 CEST on Friday 24/10. Information and registration avalable on the page https://itch.io/jam/locjam-apa
📢For more information (and especially if you want to participate or have your students participate in discussion groups), please contact MA programme coordinator Will Noonan [email protected] and student group leader Lucile Gibert, [email protected]
We hope to see you there!
