📢Just wrapped up our 2-day online network meeting and it was a blast🤩🥳

🥳This network meeting marked many milestones and flagship initiatives & projects of the network:

🤩NEW: The internship package providing a complete, multimodal pathway through the internship experience, from discovery and preparation to feedback and evaluation, enriched by real-life testimonials and practical guidance for both academia and industry #ΕΜΤ &

🙌 NEW: Launched the EMT Mid-Term report to mark our half way to the end of the current mandate.
🙌Ongoing: The EU MMLU Translation and Localisation project for more about this project which is now running its 2nd iteration, 🎧 Episode 14 of DG Translation's Translating for Europe podcast: https://translation.ec.europa.eu/news-and-events/dgt-podcast-languages-and-technology_en featuring the main team of coordinators interviewed by Anna Holmén ( Sánchez Gijón (Autonomous University of Barcelona). ‼📢NEW: The first HACKATHON contest on 4-11, a spin-off project of the EU MMLU organised by the Aristotle University team, Elpida Loupaki, Νούλα Χαραλαμπίδου and their associates, as a DGT supported multilingualism workshop with an international workshop on 3-11. 🙌🤩🥳 What else? The articles that were referenced in certain of the amazing, insightful and interesting presentations as the one made by Lucja Biel, as well as by Briva Iglesias will be shared soon, along with their presentations. Sincere congratulations to all our speakers.
📢🙌 From ISO standards, accessibility features, critical thinking to GenAI, sustainability, resilience and the need for our young professionals to be optimistic, the meeting had it all and more than expected.
🤝With a touching and inspiring message, the Director-General of DG Translation Translating for Europe and Chair of the EMT Board presided the meeting for one final time, not saying goodbye, but expressing a both dynamic and moving farewell highlighting that:
🙌We need to continue our excellent work, there is no need to limit our ambition but to turn obstacles and challenges into opportunities.
🙏Continue our development, with talent, knowledge and optimism. Human judgement, linguistic knowhow and technological skills developed within the spirit of EMT's distinguishable solidarity are the way forward.
