The Electricity Control Board (ECB) met with Team Cenored and the CENORED Consumer Advocacy Committee (CAC) in Otjiwarongo to take stock of the committee’s work since its induction in August 2025.

The Deputy Mayor of Otjiwarongo, Sebedeus Guiteb , joined the meeting.

The CENORED CAC was the first of the ECB’s Consumer Advocacy Committees. It gives electricity consumers in CENORED’s supply area a voice on tariffs, quality of supply and customer service.

The meeting looked at how to strengthen the committee and how it can help more consumers take part in tariff consultations. More committees will follow as the ECB extends them to other parts of the country.
